The 3d models/demo movie of Terra and Shadow were for an N64 FF project that they dumped to move the series onto the playstation console, which seemed more reliable to them with the ability to add enough eye candy to take up multiple disks, as it would be a hassle to use multiple cartridges. Financially, I feel they made the right choice, although it seems that the series has been heading a little downhill. I saw a poster recently for FF12 and it seemed to me like a colorful FF7, with beautiful graphics. I'll post up the image if you people wish to see it, I'd put it up now but I have to warn you it is somewhat large, and I don't want it to seem like spam.
