I'll make my official reply later. I have a hockey tournament to go to. 4 games tonight!?!? Glad it's only 3 on 3 hockey.

You can't be nice to (please) everyone... can you?
Another one of my life longing question. It's just the idea that, to make everyone happy, is it possible or not? You can go ahead and try, but there's always somewhere where the paths cross, and this idealism is then shot down...

...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.

OK, this is how it works. There is no perfect world where everyone is happy all the time. Its fundamentaly impossible because youre always have this people like my friend Fatty up here who are pissed for no reason. Then you also have the people who are simply to dumb or irresponsable to get anywhere, and just end up blaming the world for the situation they are in, even though they put themselves there. However, you can have it where most people are pretty happy most of the time. You cant please everyone all the time, and in trying to do so, all you will end up doing is pissing off everyone. Its nothing to get cynical over though. I think a perfect world is a paradox anyway, since there is no suffering in a "perfect world" And I think people who havent experienced some pain or suffering in their lives arent complete people. Not being happy sometimes is a necessety for growth. Otherwise you just end up with a bunch of spoiled kids.

Making everyone happy? Impossible. Trying to is both frustrating and pointless.

An ocean of dust and randomly strung together pieces of hydrogen, serving no purpose other than allowing all of us to continue in our misery, doomed to an enternity of petty squabbles and meaningless ego trips, until the whole thing one day explodes and starts the whole shebang all over again. - Chaos_Angel
