Well, just about any song can go in an AMV, it needs animes to go with it.

Like this:

Liz Phair-Uncle Alvarez-Forrest Gump (not an anime, but it fits exactly)

Beach Boys-I Get Around-Golden Boy

Aimee Mann-One is the Lonliest Number (cover)-Cowboy Bebop

Jack Johnson-Rodeo Clowns-Love Hina

I know. These are just general song ideas for a specific type of AMV someone is creating. If they want a romantic one, look at the romantic-like songs. For action, look at the action songs. It goes on and on.

I tried to make a Cowboy Bebop/Outlaw Star AMV set to the song "One Last Run" by Nickelback. I mainly focused on all the flying and action scenes because the song is fitting for those areas. However, the source video was screwed up and I couln't make it. I was also thinking about Bebop/Outlaw AMV set to the song "Learn to Fly" by the Foo Fighters. Once again, I was looking at the flying scenes and the characters' love of flying.

I have all these great AMV ideas in my head, but I just can't make them happen.

Save some money and buy the dvds. It's worth it. As for Outlaw Star, you need to tape it on Cartoon Network, and that'll take weeks.

It's 20 bucks for 1 DVD of Cowboy Bebop, and each DVD is only 5 episodes. It's not the greatest investment of my money. This is definately an expensive hobby.

Yes it is... Your approch is simillar to what I do. I make a list of songs as I listen that I feel I like or would make a good video to then in my spare time (what spare time! ) and then spend a few minutes brainstorming ideas (anime, etc) for it ans make notes. Sometimes just going over the notes sparks a real cool idea and BANG, it go and do it!

Course, I do the same thing with some cool ideas I get in teh reverse order....
