The monitor retails for $1399, and right now it's on sale for the lowest I've seen it, ever, for $999. Not gonna buy it, as I've been waiting for a hardware refresh on this thing, or for someone else to make something better. Maybe by the spring I can still get it cheaply? :/
It's not 30" But I got a pair of 27" WQHD IPS monitors that use the same panels that Dell (and Apple and LG) all use for under $700. There are korean ebay sellers that sell these no-frills panels for dirt cheap and they spec just as good or better than the name brand ones in independent tests (i believe anandtech and tomshardware both did some in-depth reviews). They do have the 30" ones too. A bit more than the $300-$350 price for the 27" ones, but not too much more.
