Hey, thanks a lot, Klinky. By the way, how on Earth do you stay on top of all this development? Is there one central place that one can go to learn about all things DivX/Xvid? How did you first learn about the projects?

Thanks again!

Gosh, I'm feeling such teh n00b. I guess I'm just not quite sure how to use these playback filters. I installed what Klinky gave me, but i'm still having problems with playback.

If someone could give me a link to a page explaining how to use playback filters, I'd be much obliged.

GOSH I hate feeling like teh biggest n00b ever.

Well you don't really "use" playback filters.

You install them and DirectShow uses which ever one it needs :p

It's pretty automatic.

Sometimes though, say DivX5 will take over your playback of divx3.11a things. The only way to regain the ability to use DivX3.11a or ffdshow to decode 3.11a content is to A)Uninstall DivX5 or B) do reg hacks to get it to point to ffdshow.

I really do not know what would be causing your playback problems ^_^ Damn!

Well, it maybe a good idea to find out what build of XviD you have :O Since maybe you have a OLD version or something :\

Koepi's is the best, atleast that's what RadicalEd0 says :O Ha ha...

Well, I just uninstalled whatever version of XVid I had, and I've reinstalled it using Koepi's latest version.

I'm doing a test encode as I type, and I'll tell you how it goes.

Well...I have no clue as to what I'm doing. It must be a problem with me....it seems that very few people have my problem. I think that it's highly possible I"m just encoding incorrectly...has anyone else experienced this problem and then fixed it somehow?

Well :O Geez, your original huffYUV file is synched up all nice and fine ?

You may try another codec and see if it works better :\

Also if you're using huffYUV as source, you may want to choose the option to Fast Recompress(unless you're adding vdub Filters).

:O

Other then that ????

ack. Sorry. There's really only one more thing I think I need to say, and then I'll shut up. I doubt that the problem really has much to do with the encode....for XVID has nothing to do with audio...the audio's completely different. And the clip WORKS in Windows MEdia Player, it just doesn't sync up with the audio correctly.

and for some reason it DOES sync up correctly in THe Player. So I wonder what The Player has that WMP does not....
