yeah me too...just for the guys though...cause usually the guys are younger than what they seem...especially when they grow hair on their face. but for the girls I judge older cause they're older than what they seem. except for me thoughAnime Jedi wrote:I think people are normally portrayed being younger than actually looking older. This just seems to be my experience. If anything, I've judged people being younger than they are much more often than guessing older.

I think that in general, people will tend to judge you as younger than you actually are. And I think that this is in large part due to the media.
It seems that in every movie I hear about, older actors are playing younger characters. Leonardo DiCaprio is playing a 16-year-old kid in Catch Me if You Can. Does anlyone know how old the kid playing Harry Potter is compared to Potter's age in each book? I'm not sure, but I think the guy's a year or two older than Potter.
So i'd guess most people will judge me to be 14 or 15 because of this media influence. I am 16...I think...

don't feel too bad. When I was 19, the cashier at the Ponderosa restaurant asked my mother who I was with if I wanted the childrens menu. But that was just ridiculous. Normally, I get mistaken for 17 or 'barely 18' by a whole range of people (by that I mean their ages).gadoo wrote:
the youngest age I've gotten is 13...and I'm 18 dammit!
And I am 24. My mom went through the same. When she had my older sister (who is 28 and not 'blessed/cursed with the age thing
But she is 47 and doesn't even have real wrinkles yet. Some day....we'll appreciate it....

(please don't kill me for posting this kevin, i know you don't have 'the problem' anymore)
when i was 15 and really into the pokemon thing, Roke, TruestChaos, Mr. Bucket and myself all went to the mall to watch the first pokemon movie together. when the movie was out, we all got up and went outside into the mall area (we had free tickets to see the debut because of TruestChaos' and Roke's dad having a job in the WB). we were pretty excited with the whole thing, and some guy pointed us to a sign that said 'free pokemon stickers in exchange for your ticket stubs!'. naturally we were drawn in, and the group nominated Roke and me to go. so, we grabbed all the stubs and walked into the store (which was suprisingly empty; only had the cashier there). i gave all the ticket stubs i had to Roke, and he put them on the counter. the cashier looked at the stubs, looked at kevin, and grabbed a bunch of stickers and put them on the counter. he then took all the stubs and put them into a small bag and said the following words. "Why, thank you guys, and here's some extra stickers for you little girl!". please note that this was when kevin was REALLY offended by that, namely because he had really long hair and looked exactly like a girl. but in the end, he sucked it up (hey, free stickers) and walked out of the store with me laughing from behind.
