I just finished watching Video Girl Ai. Lovely series, I must say. Fantastic animation, wonderful characters, great story, I absolutely loved it.
It's about a young man, named Yota, who, after having his heart broken by the girl he loves (Moemi), rents a video tape to console himself. He puts it in, and out pops a girl named Ai. Ai tells Yota that her mission is to comfort him and help him win the heart of Moemi. So, Ai helps Yota try to win Moemi's love. However, Ai begins to fall for Yota herself. One problem with that. Ai's tape only has one month of playback, then she disappears. Plus, video girls are not allowed to fall in love...
Aside from the hardsubbed BGM lyrics (for which I blame Pioneer entirely, friggen nazis ::shakes fist::), I loved the series.

I freakin hated it. Ok why? you ask. It goes from being interesting to being crack induced in 5 seconds. What I found out really happens is that it is totally incompleted and it's missing stuff that is was susposed to have to explain what was going on. Get the manga. The animation only goes up to the begginning of the second manga. and there are 4 books. the only reason I gave it a chance again and read the manga was because I saw Dna 2 and realized that there was no way the manga ka would have written something so wierd.

It's not as bad as EVA... *cough
