You should be less specific

I will give it to you but what are our guidelines when it comes to the differences between the main show, OVA's, or multiple seasons. I for one usually go with just the main title and will let that count for any season or OVA. However when someone specifically designates a season or in this case an OVA and it's wrong but the right show I feel like that is technically wrong but if I where to just say that then no one else would guess the show or it would lead to people just listing off each season and it becomes more of a who was there first which is not very fun.

tl;dr: Should we require specifics like seasons and OVA's to be correct or is the main title good enough?

I generally let it depend on the show. For example, something that has many things, like say DBZ, which has a TV, many different movies, and so on, or Gundam, or Lupin, I'll ask to be specific. If it's just one or two sequels I'm fine with the close guess (like just guessing Horizon for Horizon II, say).
In this case I might have asked for a closer guess while saying "it is part of the to love ru franchise" or something like that, since we're dealing with a show which has 3 TV series (well, 2 for the time being) and another 2 OVA series.
I just took a stab in the dark after recognizing the chades but not being able to pinpoint the exact source in the franchise.

Either way, since you're giving the thread, let's go with this:

It's not what it seems!
Or rather, it sort of is, but it's totally fine to show and this anime is completely PG13.
