wala_b, you're avater is quite bad ass. Anyway's this is why I suck at making amvs, although skilled I'm not creative enough, I need to be shown how to do things. Such as your avater, so simple, I definetly coulda done that, but have I? No. I never woulda thought of it and it is quite possibly the coolest avater I've ever seen. A good video takes planning before you do it, and I'm not creative enough to have that good edge, I just wing em. But really that's why i got into them, one day I was fooling around with WMM cuz I had it for free and all, then i realized I had what it took to make one, so I did. But my video isn't any good until towards the end ebcause I didn't know what the fuck i was doing.

I got interested in AMVs because a friend of mine at my high school (when I attended high school) would download them during class all the time. Same guy would later show me Evangelion and after that I was hooked on anime. I started making AMVs when I was bored with no job one summer, looked at my divx downloads and my new knowledge of After Effects and just said "what the hell."

Oh yeah, I'm also a music geek (I can name many many many tunes in under a second, and less) and an anime geek. The merger was inevitable.

I saw a couple of videos by Matt Murray of Corn Pone Flicks in 1989 and decided I could do that kind of thing. A couple of months later I was taking a video editing course in college, and came in on my free time to learn to use the VHS editing decks there. I was hooked from then on out.
