I was in a studio and leader had some issues with me.

I admitted to my mistakes and sincerely apologized for all of them.

Included in the issues was a low blow about my editing. Stating that it hasn't improved at all.
To me that was a low blow and uneccessary as it had nothing to do with the main issues.

I asked for an apology and she refused. So in the end she kicked me out.
She told me as a leader she has a right to tell me that.
I agree that if I hand in a MEP part or do something studio related and it's not up to par then it should be critiqued.

I think just throwing it in with other more important and REAL issues is giving someone a low blow and I don't think I was wrong in asking for an apology.

I really hate being to told to grow up when I'm feeling hurt and down just because of my age.

Don't let people like her have that kind of emotional control on you, it's her loss that she did that to a blessed editor.

x2. And on top of that, you could start your own studio! But in all seriousness, don't let them get to you. Anyone who tries to belittle a person according to their age or side-step important issues isn't a very good leader in the first place. (If they didn't think you were a good editor to begin with, why would they let you into their studio? 'Lack of improvement' my behind; sounds like a classic case of 'he/she was probably thinking of all the reasons to get rid of you because you two had other issues and he/she didn't want to make it completely personal'. ) You just keep on doing what you do.

Screw you Wells Fargo. I signed up with a Wachovia Free Checking account, which Wells Fargo honored when they took over. Now they're turning said account into one with monthly service fees. At least they gave advance warning so I can find a different bank to do business with.
