IratusAngelus, don't count on it. They left out bigger things than they did with fellowship. To put them back into the movie, it would probably be 5 hours long!
It would kick ass though.

dude, did you even watch the orignal star wars? There's plot and plenty of it, if you don't like still that's up to you, but uo've gotta see why people like it. The new stuff, it's based around darth vador as a kid, i mean they're the first books in the series, although I my self don't like them either, I'm just saying there's the crappy little plot there. As for lord of the rings, don't put it down yet. The movies so far are 3 hours each, and they left a lot of stuff out. They're not like star wars at all, you can't have your own little story per movie, it all ads up and the last movie has yet to be released. After you see the third movie, you'll get the story well enough.
So re-cap:
How can you not know why people don't like star wars?
the new stars wars suck to me too, but people like them because it starts the series' story off.
Don't diss lord of the rings yet, the whole story's yet to be released.
There you go.

The first one was a good from book to film. Only little stuff was left out of the book, and chapters that didn't really affect the movie one way or another. As for lord of the rings, don't put it down yet. The movies so far are 3 hours each, and they left a lot of stuff out.
The second one, The Two Towers was just fuckin' butchered. Left out a lot of important stuff. That's my main gripe with it. Still a really good film (keeps the true element of LotR and core plot) I'm just worried how they're going to mix in a HUUUUUGEE chunk of the book into the third movie. The Return of the King is epic enough, do they really need to carry over a huge chunk of the previous book? Not wise.

Well all I can say is fuck the books. I read war and Peace and thought it was tough then I tried the tolkien books. Too many characters are introduced and then dropped and then popped in again it's a nightmare. I loved the Hobbit and the return or the king animes. The lord of the rings one sucked though cause it used rotoscope animation which is retarded looking. The two movies they have released now have kicked ass. Can't wait till the third. No movie is ever as good as the book. Cases in point would be Les miserables or children of the corn. But I think these movies stand on their own. Improvements they could make would be to make woodelves look more like wood elves and not like high elves and give Gandalf some power.

I knew going into Two Towers that it would a lot different than the book. I read in Time magazine that this was going to be the film that strayed farthest from Tolkien's original vision. Return of the King is going to be more somewhere in between Fellowship and Two Towers.

I was tempted to read the books before Two Towers came out. A friend did start and regreted it. When he watched the movie he remembered a lot of things before they happened. I'm gonna wait to see all three movies and then read the books.

I agree, after reading the books I got bored towards the end of the Two Towers. And I agree with kilik, not in that it sucks, that it (like Star Wars, the originals) is over-rated. I'm one of the only people who prefered Episode 2 to 4 and 6, (5 is still the best). But the acclaim it gets is a bit much. Same with the Tolkien trilogy, the films brought the books to life, where I think the books themselves were too boring. And normally I love books, just in this case...
