Well your Hard drive might feel better knowing when I downscale, the lagarith fits on a SL disk with plenty of space left over.xstylus wrote:My hard drive is whimpering in fear over what you intend to send, Melichan.Melichan923 wrote:Lots of stress tonight. If I send it in the mail I can probably manage to fit a Lagarith on there if I downscale it. I do not have DL disks, just SL.
If your AMV won't fit on a single layer DVD, there's something very wrong. I'm all about pristine video quality, but that sounds like an OCD level of effort there.
Also, congrats on finishing Chiikaboom!Chiikaboom wrote:I will send in my videos as soon as I get home from work!! Just.. 6 hours, 15 minutes to go.. >>;;
That's because VLC is kinda shitty. It's meant to play everything, not play everything well. Definitely not something that should even be considered to be used in a serious playback environment.Melichan923 wrote:Well your Hard drive might feel better knowing when I downscale, the lagarith fits on a SL disk with plenty of space left over.xstylus wrote:My hard drive is whimpering in fear over what you intend to send, Melichan.Melichan923 wrote:Lots of stress tonight. It plays perfect in every media player except VLC. *facepalm* With certain effects VLC totally skips them and just proceeds to the scene in front of the effect or gets laggy.
I will welcome suggestions. I'm starting to become unimpressed with VLC as well. Apparently VLC relies on internal codecs rather than what codecs are installed on the machine, which is a recipe for problems. I'm about to tinker with KMPlayer.BasharOfTheAges wrote:That's because VLC is kinda shitty. It's meant to play everything, not play everything well. Heh, you need to avoid all those "trendy players" and just stick with Media Player Classic, it'll use the direct show filters and gives you better options.xstylus wrote:I will welcome suggestions. OH NOES! Gosh, I hope it arrives soon!JD_Lord1 wrote:I went through this codec/compression struggle about a week ago so I could send mine in early and avoid some anxiety. I put it in the mail last Friday and it still hasn't been received. Anxiety is starting to kick in...
