Really sorry to hear that, I know how that feels...

Doesn't come close to comparing to gotegenks', but I forgot my debit card at home, which means lots of frozen meats and coffee for the next few weeks, no fresh food. Glad I at least HAVE enough food to last me, but not enough for breakfast every morning. Usually I have toast but I'll be out of bread by the end of the week. So dinner only starting next week. D:

George, I can sympathize but to a lesser extent than what you must feel concerning Russia. Florida was ok, but I know what you mean about coming home to an empty place. And not seeing the faces of the people you care about on a regular basis. And not really having the money to get to see them that often. Let's make time to shoot some stuff in BF3? Always makes me feel better...I'll soflam and you can launch javelins and it will be epic.

Thanks, and I'll take you up on that BF3 also. I'm free pretty much whenever this week [when I'm not working, anyway] :O

I've also taken the somewhat unusual step of throwing in the towel and signing back into counseling, with the aim of helping me clear out some school-related issues and possibly better sorting out future prospects. Since work/school is starting to grind down on some of my core values, it'll be helpful if I can actually sit down and work through all of my what-if scenarios and fears rather than wait for them to happen. If there's one thing I learned from past experience, it's that you don't wait on shit to catch up to you and bite you in the ass, especially when you already expect that it will.

Quoted for the most massive truth ever spoken.

In that regard, my career is kicking me in the ass right now because of piss-poor planning on the part of my employer. >_< Stuff I needed a month ago is just now hitting my desk alongside piles of other stuff that needs doing TODAY.

So much this. My job is to clean things up like this on a daily basis, and then wait for people to get mad at me because they didn't do their work right the first time. I never have understood why people don't do their jobs especially when they get paid commission on big accounts. And then act like it's my fault that their commission gets revoked :/

Here it is the end of the work week and the power is out in my area in South Carolina due to extreme high winds which has also affected Georgia and North Carolina. And it's pitch-black at 10 PM with no stars and faint moonshine. Hope everybody in these areas are all right. The power is about out on my laptop so I guess I'll bust out the candles and do push-ups and sit-ups.

My neck / back / shoulder has been hurting more and more each day for the past couple weeks. It has gotten to the point where I can't sleep without it waking me up. Painkillers aren't helping, heat / ice isn't either. My range of motion for my head has dropped to the point where I have to turn my torso to see things. If this gets worse, I won't feel safe driving. This isn't the first time this has happened. Actually went to the doctors last year for it and they couldn'tsay anything was wrong.

You should get a blood test for inflammation or hit up a diagnostician. What you're describing is exactly the pain I was feeling that turned out to be arthritis. (and yes, you CAN be very young and have this old-person disease). >_<

Even if it's not arthritis, you still need to get checked up and find out what's wrong. The level of pain that I was feeling after 3-4 years unchecked completely changed my personality for several years (while quack doctors told me it was all in my head and I was making it up), and I went into a very dark place for a long time, and I'm still not completely mentally through it. The point is, don't put yourself through pain if you can avoid it.

Arthritis does run in my family - my Mother had it by the time she was 30, but this is a muscular hard spot traveling down my spine. I'm pretty sure my doctor is firmly in the "you can't recommend a chiropractor because that's not real medicine" camp, though, so he was less than helpful with anything more than what i was already doing. I really do need to go see a chiropractor. Or, fuck, even a good massage would take care of this pain right now.
