So yeah, this is my entry for my first round match of Amazon Postulate's Beta Battle Tournament against FruityxColors. I was given exactly 3 weeks to edit it, so that was just enough time to rent all the DVDs that I needed and to edit almost the entire full length song. This is also the first action AMV that I've done in over 3 years. I joined this tournament in order to expand the range of my editing ability, so I guess that I got exactly what I wanted. Editing a Action/ Romance AMV was a pretty big change of pace from my usual Drama videos. But I'm glad that I got to make it revolve around Medusa and Stein. Stein is my favorite character from Soul Eater, so I was a little sad that I couldn't find any really good AMVs that express his sadistic and psychotic relationship with Medusa.

I gotta say that I'm surprised by this AMV. I've yet to see Soul Eater, so I had some sort of preconcieved notion of this series, and that these two were minor bit players. Apparently, they have enough to make a romance piece about. xD

Conceptually, I got it. I liked that a lot that it wasn't the typical soul eater amv, and that you tried something new.

Editing wise, I think you did a nice job. I think the scenes right after the ballroom (the first fight) could have used a little more scene variety, since you used the same setting for the whole chorus, and it wasn't as fast paced as I think it could have been. I think a little more beat sync might have helped your cause at a few key points, but now I'm nitpicking.

I think it's something that soul eater fans might enjoy.

I'm with code. I haven't actually watched this anime yet, but have seen enough AMVs of it to have a pretty clear grasp on who all the major characters are and for the most part their roles in the series, but I didn't even realize there was a relationship between these two characters until now and I am absolutely flabbergasted that there hasn't been an AMV focusing on this relationship considering that there was enough material to make an amv for it as you have demonstrated.

Aside from the gods above, I have watched this series (not completed, but enough to know the story to its furthest (manga) extent. You have indeed used most of the footage that contains the two interacting, and i will commend you for sifting through four seasons to compile this piece of work

However, I reiterate the slow pacing of the video. For a no-FX video, it was good. It ended appropriately...but visually, it didn't seem to have that much of an emotional impact.

I do love, though, finally seeing an AMV about their relationship.

I'm glad that I'm giving so many people their first glimpse into Stein's and Medusa's relationship. The internet really needs more AMVs about them.

Great job! I haven't seen a lot of AMVs solely of Medusa and Stein (which is unfortunate because that was a really cool advancement in the plot). Wonderful editing; good luck in the Postulate!

Now this was new and really nice to watch! You don't see many SE AMVs that focus on Medusa and Stein's relationship.

Thanks for the feedback everybody. Most of my AMVs usually have a slow pace, so I'll try to work on that in the future. I'm glad that so many of you were still able to enjoy it though.
