I may be a straight chick, so this may completely invalidate my opinion, but Mandy Moore sucks. Then again, this is Disney, so it's a law that they have to cast pansies as the characters.
And, yeah, it may be debatable whether Aeris
is a pansy, but I've never believed she was. And I'm a Tifa person. Aeris doesn't deserve Mandy Moore. I'd suggest someone more mature, like Cameron Diaz or Drew Barrymore. That'll give her that innocent but still tough voice that I'd imagine her having.
Never mind the fact that they left Tifa out of the game entirely, but whatever.
For Sephiroth, I'm thinking get the guy who did the voice of Chen Yu in Mulan (the really evil lead Hun). He kicked ass. He SOUNDED EVIL.
By the way, I hear Cid's in the game, too. I think
that's where you want Al Pacino. I actually thought John Mahoney would make a great Cid.
