I think Pokémon is under-rated. I mean, c'mon!! It's cool! For some reason I just love the songs they wrote for it.

And all the original game music in the background, yeah, it's WAY under-rated.

Wrong. She's not empty. She's kind of... I dunno... emotionally dormant, and in the process of being awakened.JustAnOrdinaryPanda wrote:Rei is too hollow, too empty, there's nothing fun about her.
Ah, that's the source of your problems. You heard the butchered, exaggerated, stereotype English voices. That will permanently ruin your perception of the series. I saw it in Japanese with English subtitles my first time around, and thus Rei didn't sound like a fucking zombie and Asuka didn't sound like the wicked witch of the west with a fucking minnesota accent. There is no saving you, for your perceptions of Eva have been permanently warped by the butchery that is the English dub.JustAnOrdinaryPanda wrote:I just didn't like Misato, don't know why, just annoyed me.
Probably made worse when I randomly watched the dub on Sci fi.
You should delve into the Tenchi OVA sometime. You want deep? Good lord is it ever deep. I've beena big fan of the show for a long time now, and I still haven't dug up all the intricacies of it yet. (Along with a big group of other fans that are still talking about it as well.. and I don't mean "Who will Tenchi pick?" - If you think that's as far as Tenchi Muyo goes, you're gravely mistaken. It goes all the way back to the origins of the universe. CHeck out the novels that were co-written by Kajishima and Kuroda. Jesus they put some thought into those...)flint_the_dwarf wrote:...is more in-depth than any anime I've ever seen or heard of.
