My little brother has a girlfriend o__O I didn't know whether to put this in the vent or happy thread so I just went with the one closest to the top....

Spent by birthday sleeping in due to now being unemployed. Felt really nice to not wake up early and just relax.
I also got word from my former co-workers that my former office is going nuts without me.

Maybe they'll try to hire you back once things go downhill enough? Pretty sure you cold leverage that into making a good deal more than they were paying you before the layoff, lol.Castor Troy wrote:I also got word from my former co-workers that my former office is going nuts without me.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll be begging to have me back soon. Now I'm in the bargaining position.Fire_Starter wrote:Maybe they'll try to hire you back once things go downhill enough? But they better snag me back before another company gives me a better deal.

Rich sir, rich. It says something when one person makes that much difference. I kinda feel like that in my current job... I went on vacation for 3 days and everything blew up while I was gone due to my lack of handling the fires that spring up. If they want you back, make em payCastor Troy wrote:Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll be begging to have me back soon. But they better snag me back before another company gives me a better deal.
If I run into anyone from my previous job, they never fail to tell me about how bad things are now and how much I should come back. Though to be fair, this was exacerbated by my manager quitting after she couldn't handle things without me. As much as it feels great to be needed, remember, these are the jackasses that let you go. If they couldn't see you for how great an asset you were when you were there, they don't deserve you. I think you should move on to bigger and better things.
