Oh Lord no. TC, you'll have to try a lot harder to come off as a dick to me. I live in the south. We have more dicks than Dick van Dyke's show without even trying. XD

I just didn't want you to panic thinking I'd garbage'd the other track. This is just a "Oh hey... I have an episode of pokemon that might work well with this and fit with my partner. I'll give it a shot!"

If I had to pick, I like Bakemongatari better, but Pokemon might be a better fit.

To be honest, I really liked it. I felt mood/scene choices fit the lyrics much better than Bakemonogatari did. Also it blends really well into Hagaren's section because they reunited in the end and then the battles begin. But I'll have to agree with TC about:

the quality isn't great at all, really grainy and then when it switches over to Hagarens part you can tell the difference in quality immensely.

The grain isn't that bad, I've seen much worse and this IS the first season of Pokemon(ie. super old. I remember seeing it as a kid and I'm 19 now. ) so considering the age of it, this isn't bad at all. Though the colours are much brighter and everything looks so much sharper in the new season so it's quite a big leap quality-wise. Otherwise I would totally make you use this track instead of Bakemono, no questions asked. Because despite both tracks being very serious, the Pokemon one came off a little bit more...lighter and works better as a transition in the mood for the next track.

Anyway this is what I personally think so I would wait for Hagaren's input before you make any decisions.

OMG! Nostalgic, plus I read the novel version to my son last year.

I do love the flow and editing. Not a fan of the beginning, but it really picks up at 0:8

Maybe filters would help? I used good 'ole VDub for my Ah! My Goddess part.

Honestly, the quality in the Pokemon track doesnt bug me in the least, nothing a tad of scripting couldn't help anyway [If you want to go with this track, I can give you the generic script Im using for Pokemon]. I think it kind of fits though...starting with an 'old' anime, then it switches into HQ footage as the music kicks in. I think it's an interesting visual.

I kinda agree with what most other people are saying. I really like both tracks, I think Bakemono works a bit better, but the change from Bakemono>Pokemon in the same track is kinda jarring, and the two Pokemon tracks work a little better together. I don't think there is any way to ease the transition between the two.

Kind of unrelated, but whatever the case are you still planning on masking the beginning of my track, Code? Because I can remove the overlay from Ash there if that makes it simpler. I think I am going to re-do the beginning after all, just let me get through tomorrow first.

In other news, my half of the track is slightly off timed in the Pokemon beta ^^;

Nah, I like the overlay. It shouldn't make it anymore difficult I don't think. I'm still going to attempt to do it, I'm just wanting to make it perfect first.

I'm not sure what to take from all the advice. XD Honestly, let me tighten up/finish both tracks completely and then maybe we can go from there. Group vote from that point I suppose. I like both of them , but either one of them would be fine with me for the project

I've already said my opinion. I don't like the Pokemon one at all. And no tweaking will convince me otherwise. Nuff said.

Keep in mind the credits also. I have to have a decision soon, or we are stuck with perma credits that say Bakomono and since it's done in AE and MikuMikuDance, no masking or anything can change names of sources. Since I don't have the 3D know how of these guys.

Just an fyi.

And just to clarify, I prefer the Bakomono track.

Not to mention the rules of the MEP say only shiny new anime. I only allowed the older sources for others since they didn't have much else to work with. Code however, I know better. I need to have a decision soon on which track is being used though. Bakamono or Pokemon. Cause come a couple of days from now. Too late for changes.

Then I'll go with Bakemongatari. Mostly because there's no need in causing the effects/credits editor any more trouble, and I still personally don't like the quality in pokemon, plus I didn't read the quality rule, and its your project, so I'll go with how you're feeling. No worries, I liked Bakemongatari better and I'm happy to finish it. The pokemon track didn't take any more time than about a dayish to do, so it's not a big time lost or anything.
