Mount and Blade: Warband w/ mods adding the weapons and some mechanics from With Fire and Sword. Perfect combination.

Megaman Zero, because every so often I feel like torturing myself (although that won't truly commence until I start playing the sequels again...freaking 'only A or S levels can get EX Skills' crap).

Finished Deus Ex: HR. Was worth the purchase, enjoyed it a lot. I thought the whole "decision" engine they used was unique and actually made a lot more sense then say what Bioware does. Bioware's method is used for a different result tho, as in shaping your character's personality and influence on those around you while DE:HR's method is used to influence how the story progresses. In mass effect you'll just be a goodie too-shoo or an asshole, in DE:HR, it doesn't matter either way. What you decide might make future missions easier or harder or even change the world. It has the effect of influencing other's and making you like like an ass or a goodie goodie, but in the end, thats not really it's purpose like it is for ME.
I'm rambling now... The game was surprisingly more enjoyable then I thought even though it has a Ghost in the Shell/Appleseed/Metal Gear feel to it.

Back to Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. Drifloon are fucking assholes. One exploded the Joy Seed I wanted (Mystery Dungeon's equivalent of a Rare Candy) and another destroyed the treasure he was holding so I couldn't get it.

I can't even see why printed strategy guides still exist. The entire market for them consists of preying on the ignorance of the buyer of places like gamefaqs that have been around long enough to be common knowledge.Moonlight Soldier wrote:I've never bought a strategy guide, but usually on second playthroughs I'll check out gamefaqs or whatever to see what I missed.drewaconclusion wrote:I'm going to have to agree, they kind of kill a lot of fun of the game.NS wrote:I know all that, but my mindset is that if all of the secrets and options on how to progress through the game are spelled out to you, there's no point,

Glossy pages would be my guess. Although in some cases it might be nice to not have to refer to a computer screen or waste printer paper on running copies out.BasharOfTheAges wrote:I can't even see why printed strategy guides still exist. That said, all the strategy guides I have are from 10+ years ago.

Re: What are you playing?
I use Gamefaqs when I get stuck and cba spending anymore time trying to crack the puzzle.
Anyway I finally finished that godawful Tomb Raider game. I'd say the only part redeemable about that poor game was obtaining Mjolnir and then zapping all the yetis and thralls afterwards. XD Playing inFamous now.
I really dug the first few hours of gameplay since it was fun going around electrocuting people, scaling walls exploring then jumping off and NOT dying(though I get the feeling like I'm on a rollercoaster going down when he's falling from 500 feet high ;_;) , blowing up cars for the sake of it, basically being evil and terrorizing the public. (cause Superheroes are so overrated XD) Then after a while I got a little bored because I killed a whole load of people and I'm STILL an Outlaw. It's almost as if the Karma bar refuses to go lower unless I progress with the story. D; Now I get a cool bunch of people wearing trashbags coming after me..LOL.

Right now I'm playing some JC2 while I wait for DXHR to finish downloading... 20 minutes left. I think I'll go get something to eat, hopefully it'll be done when I come back.
