Re: Vent Thread
Extremely tired, I have been working so much this last 2 month its finally taking a toll on me. Mornings to evenings about 10-12 hour days just too much. Nothing much can do about it though, I have a small business I got to keep running and getting the clients so, just wish I could have had a vacation. Need one D:
Got more to do though, blah, ya me :3

It's barely been a week, and I already regret entering Pro.

Went to bed at 10pm instead of my normal midnight time and still woke up like crap.

90% done on a loooooong rip/encode (I'm talking 9 hours) and random power outage. Can't even find any bit of the encode. Awesome.

Re: Vent Thread
Oh lawdy, I've never been happier to be a coward.
While riding the train home from school tonight, I lost my balance briefly and bumped against this big black dude in a yellow shirt. As I regained my hold on the bar, he swung his elbow back at me. He kept swinging that elbow back as he moved to the other side of the car. I figured he was just stretching it or something. Completely unrelated to me touching him. I relaxed against the pole.
"Why'd you bump me?"
He was back. I told him I hadn't meant to. He kept glaring at me, still swinging that elbow behind him, so I apologized. That seemed to calm him down for a bit. He warned me not to do it again and returned to his side. A couple of quiet minutes passed. I exchanged glances with another passenger nearby, sort of a "what-are-you-gonna-do" type shrug. The other passenger seemed to be trying to silently suggest something, but I shook my head. I assumed the confrontation was over. Suddenly Yellowshirt asked where I was going.
"Home," I said.
"Where's that? What's the address?"
At this point, I started getting nervous. Good thing too, because otherwise I might have answered him without even thinking about it. Instead, I told him it wasn't any of his business. He didn't like that much. He was in my face, reminding me not to bump him again.
"If it happens again... y'know what, it's not gonna happen again-"
I interrupted. "You're right. It won't happen again. I'm staying over here."
"You don't believe me!" he shouted. "I'm a gang member! You heard of the [something I couldn't understand]? I'll show you-"
"I believe you, man," I raised my hands in front of me and tried to make my voice as calm as possible. "Seriously, you don't need to show me."
"You don't believe me!" he repeated, reaching into his bag. "I'm serious, I'll show you!"
"Look, I'm not gonna bump you again. I'm gonna sit down over here, so there's no chance I'll bump you."
I backed away from him and sat in an empty seat. I tried to relax, willing myself to stay level. He leaned in close and repeated his threat to show me. I told him again that I was sorry. He stalked past me down the car, muttering things I could barely hear. The only bit I was able to discern was "I'll kill you." Once he was a good distance away, I moved to a priority seat so I had my back to the wall. I did not want this guy behind me.
We rode in silence for a few minutes. I wished I had my phone or a book or something with me to distract myself, but I rushed out of the house without grabbing anything besides what I needed for class. My phone was still charging in my bedroom, so I was stuck with nothing to do but think. I woke from my daze to see him lumbering past followed by the train driver and a CTA official. Turned out the passenger I'd silently conversed with had contacted the driver or someone. As they escorted Mr. Yellowshirt, he stopped at the door and pointed at me.
"He's as much to blame as I am," he told them.
Fortunate for me, they ignored his comment and escorted him the rest of the way out. One of them turned around and asked if I was okay. I told him I was fine, and thanked the passenger who called them over. The train stayed at the station for five, maybe seven minutes. I guess they wanted to make sure the guy didn't get back on somehow. Even when we were moving again, my heart was still pounding like crazy. I kept looking over my shoulder the entire walk back home. I knew how unlikely it was the guy would be able to follow me, but when I'm shook up, it takes a while to get unshook.
It's good to be home.
