Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I dunno dude, can't say I agree with this. I personally feel the editing and pacing were very consistent, but to each his own. Glad you dug it, anyway.

Nah I can see where Blains coming from with that statement. I liked how the flow got disturbed and jungled up at times because it was trying to be a style in and of itself, but I don't think you pulled it off well enough for it to be enjoyable for most crowds.

I agree, it's a matter of opinion. I just felt like you had action bits that kind of spilled over into when the song was calmer, and it was kind of jarring to me.

As for the consistency, it just seemed like when certain parts of the song came up you went at different paces each time they occured. Sure this definately isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I just felt like it could have been a little tighter.

OMG! How could I have missed this!?

That was awesome Arash! The music and FLCL match perfectly. :awesome:
I kind of zoned out during the middle of the vid, but i think that was your purpose in the first place.

I give it 4 out of 5 Rickenbacker 4001s!

i thought i commented on this...

dude, great stuff. not ur typical shit, but it still retained that "fuck you conventional editing" style that i love. some of the cuts were so good they had me confused and i rewound that crap so many times just trying to figure it out.

that said, some of it was pretty sloppy, which added to the feel but there were several times where i just wanted it to be a little bit cleaner, and don't give me that jforcebullshit and tell me "i wanted it that way"

anyway, 4.5 sounds good. pretty inspiring as an editor i must say.

Was my first video in premiere so yeah, some sloppyness is to be expected.
