Unlike my match with mirkosp, I felt very secure for this match after we finished editing. Given how the results went in Round 1, I'm actually really shocked at this decision. I predicted that the judges would have put story coherency and video completion over an incomplete but technically superior video. Looks like my strategy was incorrect. It'd be curious to know how close this was, or if I completely misread previous matches.

Okay watched it. I haven't seen Mirk's video but I can tell you an AMV needs more than just a coherent story. Frankly, it seemed like you straight up stopped editing after the first 30 seconds or so.

Yeah, I was a little worried since my first vid was 3min, and this was barely over 1min.
I actually could have made it longer, but I don't think I would have been happy with it, so... IDK.
I think going for length is kind-of a gamble, both ways.
