Boss: Hey, Ee-lay-uh, did you do bla-bla-bla?

Me: Yes, I did that yesterday.

It seems rude, but I find it more rude when someone doesn't respect another person enough to try to even say their name right. Especially when someone is trying to say it right and just give up and end it with "whatever". Not being able to spare the seconds it takes to get it right sets off something in my head that immediately says "I hate you, too." If you've done this, I probably hate you. And with people that I am forced to deal with who persistantly say it wrong, I will either a) say their name wrong ("Hey there Eeeedward.") or b) stop answering altogether. Now, there are always cases where someone is just scatterbrained and I forgive them and make a joke of it, but I still correct them on it. I can tell the difference between them and someone who just doesn't give a fuck. That being said, I still wouldn't trade my name for the world.
That´s good but what about the spanish-speaking editors? When we first read your name, we don't pronnounce it in the correct way, but since you have already said how it should be said there´s no problem with me :awesome:

...........

On Topic: In edition I can actually edit every kind of genre, including Rap. Found a new Rap song but need to find the anime and beta testers for that amv once I decide to start with it

Oh I see. Actually the kind of answer I would have expected :P
But imagine for example when people tried to pronnounce my old name. For all foreign non-spanish editors, it would be impossible to correctly pronounce it or even realize it was a word game. Though, for everybody who speaks spanish it will be an easy one.

21. When it comes to food I'm a really picky eater. My tastes have matured over the years, but there is still a lot of things I don't eat. Now it is either a texture, taste, or way my body handles the food as to why I don't eat something (such as beef, I pay dearly every time I eat it... but I LOVE beef hotdogs....) An interesting quencidence that my friends came up with to describe what I eat (shorter list then what I don't eat) is that I live off of a letter P diet. Basically, if it starts with the letter P I eat it, if not I don't. Of course there are exceptions, and the specific name of the food doesn't have to start with P, but can be traced to the type. So for example I eat Pork, Poultry, Peanut Butter, Pizza, Pasta. However I don't eat Peanuts. My diet is almost strictly protein and carb based. I've been asked how I use the rest room and my response is 'very well' despite the lack of fiber in my diet.

22. Kids. I've always been good with kids, but at the same time I can get pretty annoyed by them too. Though despite all that I want some of my own. Preferably 2. Boy and Girl. Of course, I've been told that Ruu's side is prone to having twins, and they are almost always girls. I'd be fine with that too I suppose, though I'd love to have a boy out of the whole carry on the family name thing. I totally see myself as the over-protective father and can bet one of my first purchases when I do find out I'm having a girl is for a gun of some type. Gotta carry on the tradition of sweating the suitors out :D

23. I stopped caring about my age after I turned 21. So much so that I don't even remember how old I am generally without having to think about it. Takes me a bit sometimes to calculate as well.... (no, this fact number is not my age either. I know that for sure)

24. I don't really remember people's birthdays. Not even my own family. This is more based on how I treat my own birthday, basically no big deal. In fact I actually get annoyed when my birthday is treated like a big deal. Not so much if you decide you want to celebrate it on a day other then my actual birthday, but generally on my birthday I'd prefer to be left alone. Don't really know when I started to feel this way, but I think it goes back to not really having birthdays when I was younger. At least not ever on my birthday. My family has almost always been away on trips and what not on my birthday proper (around the start of deer hunting season) and I never really had birthday parties with friends over, which more goes to the fact that the friends I did have growing up (least the ones that did not live in Michigan or elsewhere in the country) I never really hung out with outside of school and other activities. Of course, now that I don't live at home, my family makes it a point to call me and sing to me on my birthday. Annoys me greatly, but I deal with it since at least I know they care.

25. I've only owned 1 car so far. It's lasted most of my driving life. A 96 Mercury Sable. May it rest in pieces. I'm in the market for a replacement, preferably same make, just a slightly newer year in order to get me through the next few years until I can afford a much newer car.

26. Can't really think of anything more right now, so I'll just leave it at that.

Kitsuner wrote:# Like a lot of people here, I don't have much of a dating history. Part of the reason for that is a lack of trying through high school and most of college, but the main reason (and root of the lack of trying) is that I just can't picture myself dating. I have no concept of it except through TV and movies, and even then, that's other people doing it, not me. Sometimes I think if I ever get a girlfriend, the experience of being a boyfriend will help correct a lot of the problems I've convinced myself I have (well, mainly the lack of confidence I suppose; that's the core of a lot of it anyway). Then I acknowledge that that plan would likely backfire if I'm only boyfriending to help myself, and I'd have to already crank up my confidence in order to get a legitimate girlfriend, and that puts me back to square one. I might not be so concerned about it, but if I'm gonna make films, I should live a life, right?
Last time I went on a proper "date", it ended with "Oh, that's my boyfriend, you're gonna have to hide for a minute."

On the upside, I got up and left, and lunch was on her.

This feels somewhat appropriate to that comment.

1. I've mention it before but it doesn't seem to stick. My current user name, -Fa-, is my actual middle name and yes it is spelled Fa. It's on my ID and I will gladly show it if I ever met you in real life to prove it, but it sounds like Faye, so far everyone gets its wrong. My mom told me it the French spelling of Faye...I have no idea if that true.

2. To go with #1 90% of the people I know never get my 1st name, Shawnel, right the 1st time and some still don't get it right even if I've corrected them more times then I could count. This not only with how they pronounce my name but how they spell it. Even my school got it wrong most of the time and I missed a lot of notes sent to me from the office cause the teachers didn't have a student by the name of 'Cinel/Shinel/Seanel' Whenever we had a sub if he/she stumbled on a name each time it was mine that was stumbled. If your wondering how I got this name, doctors told my parents I was gonna be a boy so they were going to name me Shawn, my mother added the 'el' at the end to make it sound more feminine.

3. I have a older half-sister on my biological fathers' side I've never met, and I haven't seen the man since I was 3 years old so I'll most likely never will meet her.

4. I hate dolls...I really really hate them, my grandmother would collect them when she was alive and when I would stay over I would have to sleep with them staring at me, didn't help my older cousin would sometimes hide behind them and make them move when I passed by when we were kids. A few years ago I got a text from my mom and she ask me to check for something in her room. I go look and I see one of the 2 1/5ft dolls we gave my grandma when I was little and she didn't tell me we now had it...I ended up slamming the door to her room, running back to my room and strayed there till she came home and I told her to hide it. We still have it and it still creeps me out, one reason is it looks just like me when I was 5 just shorter...I really hate them. I'm fine with stuff toys and I do have a Card Captor Sakura doll but that shouldn't be a surprise. What is surprising is I want one of those 'Ball Jointed' dolls cause I heard there good to use for pose references for artist. That and they don't look like real people like most dolls. Also I really like Rozen Maiden XD.

5. I'm really really bad an remembering peoples names, so don't take it personal if I ever forget yours. However I'm great with faces and little details most people don't notice.

6. Up in till 8th grade I wanted to be a Vet, actually I want to be a vet for zoo animals. I even helped one of my cats and two of her daughters when they were giving birth to kittens (3 litters for my cat and 1 each for her two daughters), also I loved any animal-based lessons and aced all my Bio assignments that were about animals. Once I enter high school I figured I wouldn't be able to handle being one and that when I started drawing.

7. I never been on an actual 'date', well at least I didn't consider it as a date if I went on one. I went to prom twice but with a group of friends and it was more or less so we could go to Kings Island for after prom and miss school. I honestly find it hard to believe anyone liking me that why. I remember the 1st time a guy actually asked me out when I was a freshmen in high school I said something like “That not funny you jerk” cause I thought he was picking on me[being bullied non-stop from grade 1 I would assume most people where out to get me at the time]...only to find out later that day he actually had a crush on me. Of course I apologizes when I saw him later but I didn't go out with him, we did become friends though. Honestly I was a little freaked out going from 'No one wants to be around you' to 'Someone wanting to be around you all the time' in the span of half a year. To much to fast I guess, I mention somewhere else I prefer being alone after being around a group for long periods of time, I'm just use to it. Also I don't want to be in a relationship like that till I feel better about where my life is personally.

8. Since people are talking about kids, I don't plan on every giving birth to any children, if I were to have kids it will be through adoption but this very unlikely. While I'm an only child(save for the half-sister mention earlier) I'm the 2nd oldest grandchild in the family of 8 grand kids (oldest is 24 and youngest will be 4 next month) we all live within an hour of each other so I've been around little kids my whole life and I'm good with them. I don't hate kids but I only like the ones I'm related to. My only issues with kids is more with their parents who let them do whatever they want...or bring them to a R-rated movie and they talk the whole damn time -__-

9. I am often questioned what my ethnicity is, mainly during the summer cause my skin gets really dark really quickly (don't burn through) I've been asked the if I'm Mexican/South American/Greek/French(once) when I'm actually Irish and ¼ Cherokee(my grandmother on my biological father's side is a full blood...I sound like I'm in Harry Potter saying that)

10. I have this really bad habit of repeating myself when talking, I'm completely aware of it and I really hate when I do cause I feel really stupid when I start, so far no one else has pointed it out. Maybe now they will since I mention it.

I ended up changing like half of these to make them shorter or less personal. In the end it didn't really help XD

And rightfully so, they freak me out too. I'm just glad there are some of us who enjoy the show and absolutely will not tolerate the sick stuff. I could be having the shittiest day ever, watch an ep of this, and be like :3 Of course, that applies to a bunch of stuff, like Yotsuba, Calvin & Hobbes, etc.
Kitsuner wrote:# I'm studying filmmaking at the Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago with Kristyrat. To be honest, I feel intimidated by many of the other students, because so many of them seem to have so much more creative drive than I do. A lot of times I feel like the best reason I have for why I'm in this program is because I don't know what else to do. Other times I realize that these feelings are a fallacy created by my current personality to give myself an out, but that still leaves the trick of breaking through the barrier of fear to allow my personality to transform myself into the next me.
I can identify...when I first started my program I kindof felt like "what do I do next, is somebody gonna show me?" I knew I wanted to make stuff, but whether it was being a filmmaker, a game artist, a writer, I wasn't too sure. (Still not too sure professionally) I think it solidified when I learned some animation stuff, and definitely when I started doing the indie anime thing. You'll find out, that's what you're there to do. Just try everything and something will fit and you'll be like "I MUST DO THIS!" :D
