ConnectiCon 2011 FMV Contest: Final Numbers Posted

Please note: Due to the HUGE disparity between videos which I deem "Fun/Upbeat" and "Other," I have decided to split the category in two. If you are affected by this, you've been sent an email letting you know that your chances at making the finals are better now. :)

FINAL NUMBERS:

TOTAL SUBMISSIONS RECEIVED: 123 |:>
  • DRAMA: 28
    ROMANCE: 22
    ACTION: 28
    FUN/UPBEAT: 13
    OTHER: 15
    COMEDY: 11

    Disqualified Videos: 5
Of the disqualified videos, one was DQed for being rated R, one for watermarks, one for having submitted the same exact video last year, and two for submitting three videos when they are not attending the convention. Not bad!

This is going to be a very, very tough competition. I am excited to see what the staff think of all the videos during the staff pre-screening on the 25th!

To reiterate - this is one of those contests that takes all sorts of videos, anime or not.

Yeeaaaaahhhh. We're having... issues with our webmaster. The website as a whole hasn't been updated since the con ended last year. :( If I knew anything at all about how to make a website I would be making my own at this point. :(

If worse comes to worse and the deadline is approaching with no sign of website resolution, I will set up my own FTP and just take submissions manually here or on the CTcon forums.
