Re: What type of personality do you have?

I've taken these Myers-Briggs things before, even in more detail, and my result this time is pretty consistent with them...
INFJ
(22%, 75%, 62%, 1%)
IN BOLD AND SIZE 150
That's more or less what I had before, although I tended to fall more on ENFP, with the first and last indicator being very weak - well, with this result I think you can ignore the J altogther (1%, ha), and I would agree that over the last 2 or 3 years I've shifted more towards introverted, by necessity more than anything (I spend the vast majority of my time completely alone, and if I didn't develop some introverted traits I'd probably go insane, which I nearly did...) So yup, not a bad picture at all!

The personality descriptions are hilariously spot-on in some ways...
INFJs may fantasize about getting revenge on those who victimize the defenseless. The concept of 'poetic justice' is appealing to the INFJ. Those who are activists -- INFJs gravitate toward such a role -- are there for the cause, not for personal glory or political power.
That explains why I'm such a socialist :P You'd think growing up during the collapse of the USSR would turn me off, but I guess that's very much in my personality...
They are, in fact, sometimes mistaken for extroverts because they appear so outgoing and are so genuinely interested in people -- a product of the Feeling function they most readily show to the world.
Haha, yeah. Maybe that's why I was slightly on the E side before. I used to get really offended when people called me introverted, even as recently as a couple of years ago. I've certainly come to terms with it better recently, partially by learning to actually enjoy my time alone.
Accurately suspicious about others' motives, INFJs are not easily led. These are the people that you can rarely fool any of the time. Though affable and sympathetic to most, INFJs are selective about their friends. Such a friendship is a symbiotic bond that transcends mere words.
Extremely true, a lot of it again going back to my upbringing in Russia where I grew up in truly dangerous, on-edge circumstances and had to learn, by necessity, a healthy but covert distrust of people. The description puts a very pretty positive spin on it, but the fact is that this also gives me some of my biggest, uh, issues. I have serious difficulties with trusting people, and combined with my inevitable need to be close to friends, I tend to be overly guarded and often miss opportunities to get close to people. I'm easy-going both in public/social settings and with friends, but the process of actually making friends I find emotionally very difficult.
INFJs, like many other FJ types, find themselves caught between the desire to express their wealth of feelings and moral conclusions about the actions and attitudes of others, and the awareness of the consequences of unbridled candor. Some vent the attending emotions in private, to trusted allies. Such confidants are chosen with care, for INFJs are well aware of the treachery that can reside in the hearts of mortals.
Bam. Those of you who know me well probably know exactly what this is about >__>
Again, pointing somewhat positively here towards trust issues which I genuinely do suffer from at times.
While instinctively courting the personal and organizational demands continually made upon them by others, at intervals INFJs will suddenly withdraw into themselves, sometimes shutting out even their intimates.
Haha, again, for those of you who wonder why sometimes I disappear for weeks at a time or why I won't play games/get on skype even when I say I'd like to, there's your explanation... sigh.

I find it extremely difficult but extremely important to focus to get anything done. A lot of the 'grunt' work I do, like grading assignments or working out technical issues, doesn't come easily to me, and nothing throws me off those more than other people. So alas, I often do have to shut down and hide .__.
INFJs, like their fellow intuitives, may be so absorbed in intuitive perceiving that they become oblivious to physical reality.
Space case? Space case. Oh god do I ever space out hard.
The INFJ under stress may fall prey to various forms of immediate gratification.
.__.

Can't be bothered. But I did have to take a personality test for work (can't remember what it was called) where the restults show you as like 1-99 for 7 different major personality types. My 2 primary personality types were Hustler and Politician. Heyo.

Your Type is INTJ
From any personality test i've taken it usually fluctuates between this and INTP.
Introverted Intuitive Thinking Judging
78 25 38 33
>Intro as fuck
You are:
very expressed introvert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
moderately expressed thinking personality
moderately expressed judging personality
All Rationals are good at planning operations, but Masterminds are head and shoulders above all the rest in contingency planning
I guess this sums some of me up.

Extraverted Sensing Feeling Judging
Guardians of birthdays, holidays and celebrations, ESFJs are generous entertainers. They enjoy and joyfully observe traditions and are liberal in giving, especially where custom prescribes.
Agreed. I am ALL about holidays. Let the copious amounts of food and candy from yesterday be testament to that. Or anyone who got one of my Christmas goodie bags >_>
All else being equal, ESFJs enjoy being in charge. They see problems clearly and delegate easily, work hard and play with zest. ESFJs, as do most SJs, bear strong allegiance to rights of seniority. They willingly provide service (which embodies life's meaning) and expect the same from others.
Eh, I could go either way with the being in charge bit. Though I do follow the work hard, play hard thing.
ESFJs are easily wounded. And when wounded, their emotions will not be contained. They by nature "wear their hearts on their sleeves," often exuding warmth and bonhomie, but not infrequently boiling over with the vexation of their souls. Some ESFJs channel these vibrant emotions into moving dramatic performances on stage and screen.
Yeah, though when that happens I just get really angry. I spend a lot of time being angry. D:
Strong, contradictory forces consume the ESFJ. Their sense of right and wrong wrestles with an overwhelming rescuing, 'mothering' drive. This sometimes results in swift, immediate action taken upon a transgressor, followed by stern reprimand; ultimately, however, the prodigal is wrested from the gallows of their folly, just as the noose tightens and all hope is lost, by the very executioner!
In terms of disciplining animals, this is pretty true. I'm always really nice afterwards. And I do have a pretty powerful mothering drive, it usually manifests itself in food. I like to feed people. I'm also very concerned with making people comfortable, especially guests. It's funny because I like to tease sleeping people, but I also frequently put blankets on them or give them a pillow. >_>
An ESFJ at odds with self is a remarkable sight. When a decision must be made, especially one involving the risk of conflict (abhorrent to ESFJs), there ensues an in-house wrestling match between the aforementioned black-and-white Values and the Nemesis of Discord. The contender pits self against self, once firmly deciding with the Right, then switching to Prudence to forestall hostilities, countered by unswerving Values, ad exhaustium, winner take all.
Umm....I usually don't even think about decisions all that much. I generally make snap decisions but they are almost always the right ones. I have a good sense for these things, I guess.
As caretakers, ESFJs sense danger all around--germs within, the elements without, unscrupulous malefactors, insidious character flaws. The world is a dangerous place, not to be trusted. Not that the ESFJ is paranoid; 'hyper-vigilant' would be more precise. And thus they serve excellently as protectors, outstanding in fields such as medical care and elementary education.
Well, the only time I'm even bothered about germs and whatnot is when I'm cooking food. Then, yeah, I'm very sure to make things clean and germ-free. But the rest of the time, I barely pay attention.

INTJ: Introverted Intuitive Thinking Judging

67 50 50 1

Seems about right. I am very Introverted, and very non-Judging. I couldn't care less about 50% Intuition, but I take 50% Thinking as an insult-- Bastard test. *shakes fist*

Best part of being INTJ, is the article refers to them as "Masterminds" 8-)

The judging part doesn't really have to do with how you judge other people and their actions.
personalitypage.com wrote:Judging and Perceiving preferences, within the context of personality types, refers to our attitude towards the external world, and how we live our lives on a day-to-day basis. People with the Judging preference want things to be neat, orderly and established. The Perceiving preference wants things to be flexible and spontaneous. Judgers want things settled, Perceivers want thing open-ended.
With me fluctuating between 70% and 100% judging, I don't imagine I'd have too many friends if I constantly judged everyone and everything. It does mean, however, that it irks me when people do stuff like leave garbage laying around, leave chairs not pushed back to the table, go out the 'in' doors, and cut to the inside of corners without looking to see if someone else is coming

I can totally vouch for this <3

Also somehow I'm not surprised both you and Yue are of that personality type in general :P
