I just remembered something. I downloaded the latest version of Zarxgui and didn't work for me either. I'm using an older version.TwilightChrono wrote:It s not that I don't Zarxgui it. It's that I can't. My computer won't run the program. At least not anymore. not since I upgraded. So, I have to deal with what my Sony Vegas puts out. I have a bunch of codecs and stuff and know how to tweak em. But it just comes down to the fact that if I could use zargui or rather if my computer would let me, then I would.
At the moment, I just.......can't. I've tried problem fixxes for it, but apparently there is a compatibility problem or something.

If Zarxgui won't cut it for you, take a look at MeGUI, at the end of the day nothing beats running a good command line instead of any GUI based program as it offers more customization.
However, try MeGUI. I'm about to create a tutorial on MeGUI that explains what some of the main functions are and what should be tweaked depending on what sources you have.
Send me a message if you need help setting it up.

Video:
There were some parts where I felt the lipsync wasn't really too carefully exercised, it had the potential to be far more creative on the anime side. For example, instead of focusing solely on clips where people are talking and just having them masked over the Charlie Sheen clips, you could have had them reenact parts of the interview.
A good example of a place to cut away would've been at the "7 grand rocks" which I'm sure most people understand the reference. You could've used say some scenes from Baccano! or another anime that focused on a gangster-themed plot and then used a scene were anime characters were around that specific reference. And to really make it creative, have Sheen sitting on the other side of the table while saying: "winning" as the anime characters represented what he was saying.
Any who, overall the video was pretty fun, the cuts were great, but I felt it was fairly bland as far as the cuts went and the masks felt very still which made the video lack a feel of direction.
In my opinion, I'd say this video gets a 3.5/5. It had a great plot in mind, but could've been better executed would be my bottom line.
However, try MeGUI. I'm about to create a tutorial on MeGUI that explains what some of the main functions are and what should be tweaked depending on what sources you have.

Thanks for the inciteful info. The problem with my anime sources, is that I am extremely limited when it comes to a wide variety of scene selection. Due to my current state of income, I am unable to afford any decent anime to use to widen the variety in an AMV. I just got a new job though, So, I am really hoping that I can afford some more anime sometime soon. 250 A Week Should do it, eh? This new job is taxing, but it is well worth it.DaikashiSan wrote:If Zarxgui won't cut it for you, take a look at MeGUI, at the end of the day nothing beats running a good command line instead of any GUI based program as it offers more customization.

Aww....that's so sad! There ways to get anime like fansubs and things. I buy mine at places like Future Shop and Best Buy I find they are the best prices and they price match.TwilightChrono wrote:Thanks for the inciteful info. x2. But I LOL'd so good job.CodeZTM wrote:The Good:
1) HA. That was humorous.
2) Quite original.
3) Generally good masking and a nice job intergrating the sheen video.
The Bad:
1) The font... #shudders
2) Lip sync could use some work and some more scene selection for the lip syncing other than the typical 3/4 same scenes chosen.
3) Could have used some more anime for more humor and a better feeling to it.
Also, I don't quite understand the obsession you have with this one space anime. XD

Re: ARE YOU SHEENIN?! Makin Fun Of The Sheenster!!
I had an idea of making something of the sort myself. But with more quality and depth than this. Unfortunately all smiles and laughs come from Sheen's original video and not the amv itself. So.. I guess it's a 50/50.

Glad you guys are enjoying it. The thread is still going which is surprising to me. First positive thing to happen to one of my videos in a long time.
