I'm rather surprised to have won. Jade's video was excellent, too.

Ileia, I love your vid!
Zetzu, just be happy that you win
Plus, I'm sure many people wish they could do such a vid in 2 hours. At least, I wish I could...

@JCD :
That's how it is, there was a tiebreaker, so well don't be so disappointed, both editors could have won!MimS wrote:I have to say that it was hard to choose a vid for Match 29

I very much share JCD's opinion here. I won't start a bitchfight about how you guys judge but saying it was close and not giving reasons is kind of poor. I don't expect judges to share their thoughts for every entry from now on since that would be lunatic and i very much trust in your capability to neutrally find the better entrys, but JCD named some very good points here so if you decide to respond to that (you don't have to), don't just give a "it was close sorry tihi".MimS wrote:@JCD :That's how it is, there was a tiebreaker, so well don't be so disappointed, both editors could have won!MimS wrote:I have to say that it was hard to choose a vid for Match 29

I'm not justifying my op by "it was a tiebreaker", just pointing that since it was close, no need to be disappointed, there's a part of luck in the end, maybe with another 5th judge, it would have been different.
Anyway, I think Mamo's vid has less issues than Shui's one. My english is a bit limitated when it comes to technical things so I'll try to say the thing that bothered me the much as well as I can, sorry in advance.
When Shui puts a "window" of the character inside a scene, you see, when we have a scene with another one more little at the same time, it's not very well done and, despite the idea itself is good, it becomes an issue. It's that particular point which makes me vote for Mamo.

Dude, don't say that. I enjoyed what you did there. I love that song, but I'd be pretty much screwed if something like that came up in our battlemeleechampion wrote:Wow! Well, I will say this is the happiest I've been with any IC I've ever done, despite having "the worst audio transition in the history of amvs". I gotta work on that. (not that it'll matter against JCD T_T)

Just to note, I'm not going to explain myself in public. That sort of thing tends to lead to forum dramas. I will explain in private though when/if questions arise, and I did PM JCD about his points. Since you also question that match, I'll just cut n paste the same PM to you. But don't assume lack of a public reply means a lack of any reply.Cenit wrote:I very much share JCD's opinion here.
