I definitely agree with this. Assuming these people don't add their videos to the catalog. If they do then honestly I don't have a problem with it.JaddziaDax wrote:I don't like the idea of creating a subforum for people who aren't contributing to this site, they just want to drop a link and get stats on another site

What about a forum where they can post a link, but it'll disappear in one day and curse their family? :>

Well, given some of the users around, the org already has the 'curse their family' part down.Nya-chan Production wrote:What about a forum where they can post a link, but it'll disappear in one day and curse their family? :>

Re: Making the org more accessible.
personally i think the original mission of the org, cataloging every amv, is beyond it's scope now. Its impossible for the org to do that now so why continue to try?

Re: Making the org more accessible.
Hey, the Org stopped serving its purpose and it's already split into subcommunities (as you wrote in a different thread), so why not end it all? It'll be painless at least!
We can leave it here as a tombstone, though! Just leave. The last one turns off the light.

Re: Making the org more accessible.
Because I honestly try to help the Org out (and I think most of the mods and admins do, even when it's invisible and over the fact that they have lives) and the number of "It's pointless, let's do something else, guys. No, I won't tell you what, but we should." comments from you is starting to tire me out.Pwolf wrote:i don't understand why you're being sarcastic...Nya-chan Production wrote:Hey, the Org stopped serving its purpose and it's already split into subcommunities (as you wrote in a different thread), so why not end it all? Honestly - if I had some experience with creating big sites, working with large databases and OOP, this site would already have a re-haul - but I can't, so I have to be patient as well as you.
No-one ever said that the Org is meant to be "complete" database as well - and it's still growing up, therefore it's working at least to some extent.
In the end I just have trouble standing your attitude, I suppose, even when I think some of the points you make are valid, so pardon my sarcasms :>
