Go with what you feel is right. I made a video that used audio sources from several tragedies, including 9/11. The video was released 3 years after 9/11 and people were still pretty sensitive to it. That said, it didn't prevent me from releasing and sending it to cons because I didn't make the video to rile people up about 9/11 or anything else. it wasn't about 9/11 or any of the other tragedies i referenced. Sure I cared about wither or not it offended people but that's their problem for seeing it as being offensive when the real intention was much different.
That was my situation of course which is different from yours. I would imagine the video borderlines on being offensive anyway due to what you described so in all likelihood its possible people will take major offense due to the recent situation. Ultimately it's up to you and wither or not you feel like you can handle the possible backlash.

Thanks for the advice, Pwolf. You should see the writeup I have for video info, heh...Pwolf wrote: I would imagine the video borderlines on being offensive anyway due to what you described so in all likelihood its possible people will take major offense due to the recent situation. Adam's said that we're going to play this one by ear. If the staff pre-screening doesn't go over well, we'll likely pull the video from AB, but I'll likely submit it to Otakon in that case.
