As a poker player, I always feel I play MUCH better when money's involved. I love to play for fun, but something about cash always makes me focus better.
I know there's a lot to be won from AX's amv contest even without money, but with the amount this large, I think there's something that's gonna make you take it far more seriously. All you really need to do is continue what you're doing, even though you know a large sum of cash is involved.
I haven't made it into the contest for 4 years and it'll be 5 this year. I've entered every single year since AX has moved to LA and still haven't gotten in. I like your work and I think you stand a good chance.
I do believe that the cash money is a good thing, though. It may have some negativity, but it just means people will have to try that much harder.
I do know for a fact though, with that much money involved, the AMV contest will be AWESOME.
I also find that strange you haven't gotten in, since you're such an awesome editor. Another reason why I'm so nervous.
Oh... I do have a slight question though... I've been meaning to ask for a long while, maybe I'll ask now.
DP, is there any chance of having a sign language interpreter for the contest? Or do I need to talk to disabled services? I remember back in the day of 2005, AX provided interpreters, but the year after, they stopped. I just figured it was too expensive and didn't bother asking, but if they're giving away so much prize money, I just wondered if they have any extra for this. I always miss out on what you say about each video and I feel kinda sad about that.
