Obviously he missed that, or it's not important to him.Dannywilson wrote:Damnit wolfwood. This was supposed to be a semi-unknown vote, but whatever...
I don't really know the background to this whole dilemma, and honestly, I don't want to know. I'm not going to watch either clip. My suggestion as to decide which one to take is quite simple: Include the one done by the person it was originally assigned to. Despite what was said, the piece was completed. The only way I wouldn't use it would be if it was questionable (If this is going to be shown at a convention, it most likely has to be PG-13) or if it directly attacks someone (Like NME's video attacking Xenodrake).

In my humble opinion...
Trying to decide what to do with the pieces from a standpoint of "what the viewers what to see" is a really silly concept. That train of thought is what has led to our current MTV which, let's face it people, sucks like a bilge pump on steroids.
If you want to do something and make a statement(which is one of the points of the project), I suggest deciding this amongst yourselves. Not only are you still being original and making a point, you're keeping the matter internal, and deciding for yourselves what works the best. The people in charge of the project should have the final say, not the audience. Otherwise, you're no better than today's pop stars; catering to what the audience wants to see and hear.
Be bold, make a statement, do what you believe is in the BEST INTEREST of the project, and you can do no wrong as long as what you believe in and what you are trying to convey(shot of "So-and-so's a dick") make it in to the video. Do that, and you really have accomplished the imporbable: make an anime using many artists and editors.
I wish everyone involved with the project the best of luck, and I eagerly await your final result. =0)

...and damn my sleep deprivation and lack of an "EDIT" button.
Correction should be as follws:
Be bold, make a statement, do what you believe is in the BEST INTEREST of the project, and you can do no wrong as long as what you believe in and what you are trying to convey(short of "So-and-so's a dick") make it in to the video. Do that, and you really have accomplished the improbable: making an Anime Music Video using many editors.
Sorry for the screw up... >heads to bed<

Do you people even fucking listen? I didnt write this as a chart topping thread. I just want you to tell me which video is aesthetically and technologixcally superior, not your thoughts in the thread.Dannywilson wrote:I don't want any responses to this thread itself, due to the fact that I don't want any more bad blood than there already is.
