Tekkoshocon IX AMV Contest - SUBMISSIONS CLOSED

Post by GloryQuestor » Fri Jan 07, 2011 9:22 pm

The Tekkoshocon IX AMV Contest is now accepting entries! You will find a copy of the rules on the AMV page. The deadline for mail-in submissions is March 1st, with an FTP final deadline of March 6th.

Please note that our Extreme & Adult contests have changed this year. We have put them together into just one contest -- the AMV Exteme Contest. Please read the rules page for more information on the revised rules to this contest.

If you have any questions, let us know here or e-mail amvcontest@tekkoshocon.com

Good luck. :D

Looks like the dates line up well for this... Should have one, maybe two by the deadline. Possibly considering coming down as well.

Based on comments received and a few discussions, I should make everyone aware of a minor rule clarification concerning qualifying audio content of music video submissions:

- As this is an anime music video contest, the majority (approximately 51% or more) of your video must contain Japanese anime or Japanese videogame-related media (that originated in Japan) and the audio must be at least 75% music or song track, unless the video is a trailer or commercial AMV.

We will have the main AMV rules page updated for the same.

Please let me know if you have any questions. :)

Prereg done and Hotel booked - BTW, your con block for hotel reservations must be full, it says all of the non smoking regular rooms are sold out when you put in the group code, but they reserve just fine without it. (I'm also amazed that there are still places that allow smoking in hotels).

To make this post more AMV related... what are these creator spotlights you list on the AMV page?

The Creator Spotlights are (usually) 20-minute segments where editors can introduce themselves and show off their video projects. So, anyone who is going to be at Tekkoshocon and is interested in having a Spotlight segment can PM or e-mail Vlad G Pohnert to reserve a spot. :)
