Amv Tips Need

So im about to start working on a Amv for a Anime convention coming up in a few months
and im just starting out getting used to sony Vegas and i want it to look as best it can

the amv will be a sad/romance amv

and i wanted to know if there are any techniques that you guys use to make a sad amv go that extra mile ill take even the smallest tip please help me out

For a sad amv you need a song that got that feeling. For the edition it should be something slow, not too fast, unless the song starts changing too.
And... perhaps watching some amvs should help you too

The objective of these kinds of amvs is to create the appropiate atmosphere so that everybody that watches it get hooked in it

I think that your idea has a lot pf potential. In order to get your video to reach its full potential, it will take a lot of work though. Id say that you should watch a bunch of clannad AMVs in order to get some ideas on scene selection. I assume that you want this AMV to revolve around tomoya and nagisa right? Also, you may want to use ep 24 of Clannad: After Story. Its a recap episode and has a bunch of scenes that you will need.
