Well it certainly speaks about the quality of the company when they allow something that poor to have their bumper on it.

Then again it's Funi, and they've always been complete morons kept afloat by DBZ and whatever flavour of the month kiddie show they've picked up this season.

I actually like Funimation and disagree with everything you just said. Lets not turn this into a Funimation bashing thread please.

On another note, the following post makes it sound like Funimation may have received the AMV from another party. http://blog.funimation.com/2011/01/becc ... ic-videos/

Are they saying that Becca made the AMV?

If they think an Avril Lavigne wannabe who's ten years late to the party and a show about rich pretty boys and the faithful servants who stand by them is going to get 14 year olds buying this tripe they are sorely mistaken. Especially today when most 14 year old girls are more technologically literate and willing to download fansubs than the 40 year old white dude who came up with this messy horror show of a marketing disaster.

Kazuo Ishiguro is probably rolling in his grave, gnashing his single decayed tooth against dry brittle gums and spitting dust as he curses the soul of the Tokyo writer who butchered his book to make this series.

From the looks of that video Becca can't sing, can't dance and has a childish sense of rhythm. She's gonna be the next Yeezy for sure. :awesome:

Am I the only one that thinks that song doesn't fit the video at all? Seriously feels like I'm just watching video and listening to a random song.

Song sounds more suitable to a drama/romance anime featuring a strong female lead character imo... :|
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

The vid wasn't great but had it's moments IMO. I'd definately like to see Funi venture more into AMVs, though.

I dont know much about Black Butler, but Im a little confused as to why this show has such a freaking peppy ending theme...

I could probably make this combo work better... the video seemed really random to the song, and whoever made it only put some very basic phrase sync to it. The scenes don't go well with the lyrics at all, leaving a huge disconnect between the video and the song... However this is WAY better than all the AMVs on Green Green or Sukisyo.

and yes 14 yearold girls will buy this... but not due to the song, but due to all the pretty boys in it. Pretty boys are rather "in" at the moment :P

Keep in mind companies have more limits than AMV editors. We can use effects, mask characters, and otherwise change the source some. That company editor probably couldn't. Plus AMV editors usually do something because we want to, the company guy may have been told to just do something and he slapped shit together just to get the project over with.
