So, my cube-mate here at work spent his early career working on designing and testing missile systems. He claims that reasoning is laughable.Pwolf wrote:uhg -_- it's a contrail...Otohiko wrote:THEN HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THIS

That's great, that doesn't make his opinion all that credible in my book. It's a contrail looking head on. from the vantage point of the helicopter, it's looking at a plane flying towards them, the contrail goes over the horizon so it looks like it's coming from the ground. The Earth is round not flat. The position of the sun was also ideal to light up the contrail as well. Also, the FAA reported no fast moving radar contacts, only planes. I might also add, if it was a missile as everyone seems to be think it is, why is there only one video of it? are there really so many missiles being launch down in LA that the LA people just don't give a shit? you would think there would be a lot more photos and videos of this "missile" if it really was one. My guess is people looking up in the sky saw the same thing the helicopter did but they saw an airplane. The helicopter was in the right place at the right time to see the optical illusion.BasharOfTheAges wrote:So, my cube-mate here at work spent his early career working on designing and testing missile systems. Also, I think I can see the nav beacon on the airplane flashing in the video also. not 100% on that though but it was something I noticed.
I quickly pulled up a Newport Beach webcam and found tha (apparently) AWE808 was making an identical contrail, 24 hours later!
