That never actually crossed my mind before, but I guess it makes sense. I myself don't really care for either, as long as they make the show more enjoyable one way or the other.

That aside, I was actually surprised with the second half of ep 5 and was kinda disappointed when I saw the stars themselves haven't changed. It was still enjoyable, regardless

Episode 6 had a lot of AMV worthy material, and I like the plot that it set up.

I was actually starting to get bored of it but episode 6 saved it. Guess I really like the action bits in this the most haha, wasn't expecting that from this anime of all things.

Yes. Very much. But it's like a train-wreck - it's really hard to look away.

And this, coming from me - someone who goes out of his way to watch the absolute worse anime possible.

Hmm, yes. Well, too bad this isn't the worse anime possible. Hell, it isn't even that bad of an anime. Actually it 's a pretty freakin' awesome anime. Well, it might be terrible to those who expect stuff that isn't even there to begin with.

Now, growing up I never got to watch much of Ren and Stimpy. Not that I didn't like it, I found the episodes that I got to watch were hilarious. Based on what I saw, I don't think it would be fair to compare this to Ren and Stimpy. I myself would say this show is like every show within What a Cartoon! Show combined with the power of Gainax's fanservice. Now, I grew up on What a Cartoon! Show and I'm all for fanservice. That said, it isn't so surprising that I find this fucking amazing.

The Ren & Stimpy comparison is in the almost sole reliance on toilet humor for laughs. Which isn't bad - everybody likes to act like a 10 year old boy some times.
