The story centres around Kurashita Tsukimi , a huge fan of jellyfish (kurage, a wordplay on the "kura/mi" and "tsuki/ge" in her name) and a girl who moves to Tokyo to become an illustrator. She moves into Amamizukan, an apartment complex that is full of fujoshi (diehard female otaku) with a no-men-allowed rule. However, one day, Tsukimi invites a stylishly fashionable woman to stay at her room at Amamizukan — only to discover that the guest is not who she seems to be.

Watched yesterday. Definitely one of the top 3 shows this season in terms of episode 1. Great performance by Kana Hanazawa. Tsukimi is a perfect character for her to work on. After the weak House of Five Leaves this show looks to bring the flava back to the noitaminA block.

Hit it like you mean it.

Now, now, House of Five Leaves aired along with Tatami Galaxy, and that was far from weak... in fact, I still think it's the best show so far this year. All in all, noitaminA has been good this year.
Anyway, will have to check Kuragehime, though, perhaps as a end-season maraton.

The heck? How'd this win get all the way near the bottom of Page 1 of the Anime Series section. D':

I just watched episode 1 and absolutely loved it. I rate series as each episode comes along (helps me determine a final grade for it) and very few series have gotten a 10/10 from just episode 1 from me.
This is one of them. <3

The OP also makes me lol. Gotta love nerddom. :3

As usual, the better shows (which oftentime curiously happen to be noitaminA) tend to get almost ignored. :asd:

I feel old.

It's a reference to the film The Graduate. It just happens that Wayne's World 2 also did a parody of it.

After posting that, I suddenly realized how long ago Wayne's World came out and I felt kinda old for remembering it (though I wasn't sure if it was from the first or second one). Well, that is, until I googled The Graduate... Though now I do have an urge to watch Wayne's World, Wayne's World 2, and Spaceballs after all this.

But yes, as ZS says, this show is indeed awesome, something I forgot to mention in my previous post. Just waiting for future eps to come out seems like torture...
