Really enoyed this show after watching 3 episodes. I think it's one of the anime which combine succesfuly both japanese and american styles. Really.
Apparently few people here compare it with Powerpuff Girls. But honestly, Gainax is the one of the best studio for doing references.
Example : the highway sequence from Matrix Reloaded was just awesome!

Anyway I am very glad to see finally something different and enjoyable. The 2 characters are very funny and their personnalities are very... ahem... intended xD
This time : no "please-Oni-chan-big-eyes-loli-stupid girl" but a true nymphomaniac, fuck yeah !

I enjoy more Panty and Stocking than Gurren Lagann actually (but I am not a big fan of shonen/mecha).

I find it hard to express just how crappy I find this show to be.

Learned a valuable lesson though, no matter how bored I get, don't repeat last weekend when I watched ep 03 and 04.

There won't be an ep 05 for me. I'd rather watch paint peel.

Seriously. I just don't understand. I just feel like this is a failure of immense porportions. I could make arguments about story or content or taste or whatever all day long, but I don't think any of that really exists. I think the show's only good point might be the flashy action sequences and animation style, so I could see decent amvs made. I might have liked this when I was 11 or 12. Oh wait, I did, it was called Ren & Stimpy. But even Ren & Stimpy was very witty (I can still watch and appreciate it today), despite it being mostly fart jokes. P&S is just boring to watch I do have to give Gainax at least some credit on the show though, they are pushing the envelope. Come what may, they aren't making some equally boring moeblob stuff just to sell DVDs (will be interesting to see where this one ranks on the sales charts) and will hopefully learn from their mistakes. Some would argue against that, but hey, you like what you wanna like. Hatters gonna Hat.

@Mirko: This is a first for me though, I've watched and enjoyed every other Gainax show to date. I think the one I liked the least (besides P&S) was Ugly & Beautiful World, but it was ok at least.

I feel a bit like the people saying it's boring are from a different planet or something, but I don't have a reasonable argument about it (at the moment anyway, certainly).

If I was to try and describe the show, I'd say it might be something like "Gainax's fanservice side taken to Gurren Lagann proportions."

That's a very good description actually. I hate fanservice for the most part, especially when it gets in the way of story, so that would explain it. Storyfag vs Servicefag? /me goes back to Jupiter
