Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

not bad, but this AMV needs more sync and focus. This guide http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/v ... =2&t=92942 has a awesome section about sync. And this video is a must see for all AMV editors.

The particular song that you chose almost demands that you overload the video with internal and beat sync for most of the AMV. The beginning of the video kinda lacked both. In other words, you had a whole bunch of scene changes that seemed random and didn't happen on any particular beat. And towards the middle of the video, the song started to slow down, and I think that you started to use a little too much beat and internal sync. But towards the end, I think that you started to find a nice balance. The timings were a bit off, but for your first AMV, you did well

Congrats on finishing your first AMV |:>
and welcome to the org.

That's actually how I first started making AMVs. I didn't know how to rip DVDs, or how to get editable footage. So I just used footage from AMVs that I downloaded from Kazaa. But yeah, not only is this wrong from a ethical standpoint, it also hurts your video. Editing footage that has already been edited by someone else will always lower its original quality. At the time, I didn't know any of this either.
