To The Future (KHR/30 Seconds to Mars)

Warning, HUUUGE spoilers if you have not reached past episode 74 in Reborn or past chapter 136 in the manga.

So...here it is. Finished it faster than I thought I would.

Back when I heard this song, I liked it. It wasn't until my friend ChosenExiled asked me to make an AMV of this song using Reborn. At first, I was reluctant to do so, but the more I listened to it, the more I saw how scenes from the Future Arc could fit perfectly with the song. So I started planning it out based on the manga chapters I had read.

I wanted to show not just the epic battles of the future arc, but the bonding and development they went through as well. This is one of the reasons why this arc is my favorite no matter what people say. It's that bond and times they shared together to grow stronger that really is the true gem of this arc.

Halfway through the AMV, I still could not come up with a title for this AMV. I was frustrating over it. I kept thinking of anything that had the word "war" in it, but nothing sounded good at all. It wasn't until the very last Reborn episode airing that finally inspired me to name this AMV "To The Future." These three words not only sum up the entire future arc, but also sum up beyond what they will face together after the future is over.

I hope you all enjoy. This is probably my best work yet. ^^

You always seem to outdo yourself with your newest vids, but I think you outdid yourself a couple of times with this - this vid is really epic. You crammed a lot of different scenes [Most of the freaking arc, it seems] into this without making it look random or incoherent, and it overall had a great flow, and great lyrical and beat sync. I think the second chorus was the higlight of the vid, it seems to be a collection of the best animated fights, and it makes for some awesome eyecandy.

I expect Crunchyroll will be getting some traffic it's way soon~

Oh yeah, I definitely liked this one. Your sync and scene selection were impeccable. Most of all though, I enjoyed the energy throughout. Very nice indeed.

Wow I really really enjoyed this one The scene selection and sync were excellent and gave the video a lot of energy, flow was done really nicely too and the fight scenes look really cool.

Well I know you'd probably be reeeeally disappointed in me if I watched this for spoilerific reasons, so I'm (very much) trying to avoid watching (but it looks so epic! Dx)

However, I can at least comment on the song choice. XD This was that 30 Seconds to Mars video that you were working on last time we chatted, I assume? :3 Just seeing their band name makes me want to get back to working on my Xam'd AMV, so thank you for the inspiration. |3

Basically the perfect "in a nutshell" video, you captured this arc beautifully. I love the pacing, especially in the choruses, and your scene selection. What's even more impressive is how FAST you worked on this without even making it look rushed. You've come a long way with your editing, Kaz, give yourself a pat on the back!

Lol anyway, thanks. I didn't expect to improve my level of editing when I first started listening to this song, but one thing lead to another... and I somehow ended up doing alot of things that satisfied me. (still there's alot of other stuff that I still think I could have done better.)

Lol nah, I don't watch it for that, I watch it for the other stuff. I love anime with nice character development, action, ect.

XD Im surprised how fast I worked too... I didn't expect to be done 1 week after the last episode airing, but I put myself into gear to please the reborn fandom with it due to lack of no new ep. ;_;

Btw, thanks alot with all your tips with AE. I think that if you hadn't taught me, this amv wouldn't have turned out as good as it did. ^^

Hmmm...what can I say that I haven't already told you...umm

It's awesome! XD ok I might've said that already...

I just went back and watched some old betas. o.o It's nothing like seeing the complete piece; there's just so much in here with all the characters and battles and the fate of the world on the line, it feels massive. Great job making it epic!

It's really hard to pick out my favorite part... I love how the intro has scenes from the previous arcs, and the lyric-sync in the verses and the action in the choruses are of course very solid, and all the sweet friendshippy stuff in the bridge I've been excited about from the beginning XD!
If I had to pick just one part that I like watching the most it'd be 2:26-2:32; I like how the scenes with all the main characters fit with each other, the lyrics and the build-up of the song. Oh, and the whole chorus after that too...especially the Gokudera parts...ya. And the music break after that...
DX Aww forget it, the whole thing rocks!
