What do you think about Ecchi Series?

I know all of us have watched at least 1 ecchi serie , but what's your personal opinion about Ecchi series? What makes an Ecchi serie a must-watch serie? Personally I think that if an ecchi one cant offer something more than big boobs, then it becomes pointless and boring

.. well .. it depends on the content being played-with that makes
or breaks a series ( at least it does for me anyways )

Ecchi, when opening an uncommon subject, is quite humorous. I sight
the following examples as a scope to be considered "as ecchi".

1) The girls name was Iria, the anime .. Zeirum. a two 3 hour series.
( improper motivation, hardly; she is trying to find he brother and
instead she found what ate him. Her solution was to attack it from
within its body and "she" was the bate! )

2) A looser dreams of entering college with the girl he met on the play
ground when he was but five years old. The problem? His grades suck,
he has nowhere to stay while going to college, he's not a scholar and
he can't remember her face or her name! All this is taking place at a
time when Girls are striving for their independance and having the freedom
to choose their-own directions in life. The anime .. Love Hina.

3) after his home planet ran amuck with Feminists and lude behavior,
the Elders decided to separate the boys from the girls and place them
on different planets. Some were frozen in time while others spent their
lives continuing life as they knew it. 60 years have passed sense that
time and the search for food has become the prime objective to a rogue
band of female space pirates. They stumble upon one of their lost space
ships being launched from a distant planet only to find MEN running the
ship! Their goal is to find the planet where they came from .. and then
there is Hibiki -- out to prove himself to the guys whome he boasted
a dream which would change his social status from lower class workers.
.. The anime .. Vandread.

4) Just out of college, he is traveling with his dog to a town where his
teaching skills can land him a job; "Every School Needs A Gym Teacher"
.. but maybe not this one! Its an all girls school being witched by a
bitter old hag who hates men. Will he get the job, who knows .. but,
how far would you go to get in the front door and Prove Your Skills?
.. The Anime .. I My Me, Strawberry Egg's.

5) A girl remembers her mother. She left home one day to take care of
a problem with her leg-movements. She is now old enough to leave her
grandparents house and find her mother. as she enter the big city and
gets off the train, some Ecchi-Guy is following her every move. He knows
exactly who she is and why she has come to this town. He knows her
mother is not ready to see her yet and he believes that she might be
interested in what HE has in-store for her!
.. The Anime .. Angelic Layer.

6) The school has its share of ups and downs but these two know exactly
what they want; what they didn't expect .. each other!
.. The Anime .. Lovely Complex.

Ecchi has its own meaning to everybody. These are the things which I
categorize as being Ecchi.

Ikki Tousen sucked. I can't believe i fell for it. That was probably the most uninteresting story I have ever heard. If it wasn't for the fact that the characters were (somewhat) attractive, I would've never watched the first ep. When you create an anime with pretty people AND an interesting story, then you're a good ecchi.

Like anime of any genre I want good animation, good story, and good action or comedy or drama, or a good combination of all of these items.

Consider Golden Boy as an example.

I have seen the case of Mouse. Compared to any other ecchi animes, it's just dissapointing, when I first watched it I expected something focused in the mind of the main guy, but after ep 2 seems like they focus more in the other chars, and even when in the beginning it says that he even steal out of Japan, everybody would have expected stealing in Europe, USA, etc

Even for ecchi it still boils down to story. Maybe you need a little bit less story than some other genres, but all the jokes and situations work better if well written. Or maybe you just like boobies.

It doesnt matter whether there are boobies or not, but I agree with you buddy

A good example is Ippatsu Kikimusume because the writing was BRILLIANT and oh god I lol'd

That's it. Actually, not only the writting, but also the artistic part. Even in amvs I see that fact really important, specisally in anime mix

I dont think all ecchi series are bad i hate when ppl are imature when watching it. lol High School of the Dead was good. Ikkitousen I hated the story was not that great to begin with. lol.
