4 days left to upload. If you still need an FTP account, ask for it very soon. I'm going to be away from my local system from the general 8-5 time frame every day during the week (work and all) and if you wait until the last day (Friday) to ask for a slot you run the risk of not getting it in time.

I was really hoping to put out a new AMV for the contest this year to submit, but the end of the month really snuck up on me. With enough luck I might be able to go to AAC this year though it seems unlikely again. I'm still crossing my fingers though. At the very least I'd love to show up for the majority of one of the days.

Anyways, best of luck to those who are submitting and good luck to the judges and coordinators as well during the judging and contest showing. May everything run smoothly and not be too stressful.

I'd say come Saturday - it seems to be the quantum AMVer day. A lot of editors "might" come that day, judging from the emails/PMs i've gotten.

As to the reminders, I like to send out a few emails to remind people. I've had people just completely forget they had to upload before.

I also seem to get a few people every year that, even after 2 or 3 reminder emails, don't submit anything. That's one of the reasons we purge accounts every year - no idea how many people asked for an account that only wanted it to try to gain access into our servers. I also really like having an hour a day of work to do on this whole contest thing rather than 15+ hours at the end amidst all the other stuff i'm responsible for. Ballots and title cards are somewhat tedious when a good portion of the entries are non-OCR PDFs and JPGs that you have to copy information from manually... Even when they're not it gets tedious doing them all at one sitting.

On that note... 2.5 days to upload for those that still need to.
