My tribute to those Rammstein/Evangelion AMVs that got me into editing. Both LOCAL and DIRECT are 720p.

There is a HIGH QUALITY DIRECT DOWNLOAD with a 60 FPS VERSION that runs SMOOTH LIKE BUTTER but be sure to have the latest CCCP installed ... otherwise your system will get fucked over just as mine did. Special thanks to mirkosp for helping me with the encode-settings!

Have fun watching!!!

Thanks man. Glad you like it!

UPDATE:

There now is a 2001-Style mpg indirect download of this, that looks even worse that THOSE VIDEOS i was refering to. Special thanks to JCD for helping me to create that version :D

Also i'm no Kevin Caldwell and i don't claim my AMV to be on the same level editingwise and i want to add that i like those AMVs up to date!

There also is a poster now as well a preview-window and a general 480p low quality edition. Have fun watching!!

That was pleasant. I think I wet myself! :D And I just watched the preview. Great edit. I can't wait for this to open in the US!

Ever since AWA 15 last year, when we belatedly found out that we could have given a VAT guest award if we'd wanted to (it would have gone to "Only Bob"), Cyanna and I had been planning to give one this year, to an otherwise unrecognized video which both of us really liked.

Then we got to AWA 16 and found out that those awards are no longer open to being given by any old editor who drops by the VAT (only to official guests of the con and, of course, the VAT staff).

But we can still say whatever we want here on the forum.
So, we're happy to give this AMV the Aquiline Studios "Two Thumbs Up" award, for making a video with the new Evangelion movies that's actually really exciting and fun to watch, not to mention making very good use of the scenes that weren't from the original series. ^_^

Highly recommended, doubly so to Evangelion fans.

Lol, you just can't go wrong making an action vid with Rammstein music. And 60fps really gets the job done. Well, it's a straightforward action amv so not much to analyze. If I had to choose between having fun or not having fun while watching ... I enjoyed it.

AWESOME. First of all glad you liked it. Second i really tried for AWA this year but due to exams i couldn't make it, what makes me fell even more bad now cause third this award is more than i could hope for. I did this amv due to being short on time but i'm glad you guys still recognize it and honor the work. Thanks again. I will totally be at AWA at some point within the next 2 years!

Probably the reason for the quiet short feedback. Due to the amount of downloads and rating i expected more comments in the first place. At least the AWA Pro video discussion thread makes up for that. :D

Glad you went for the first. Thanks for comment!

I liked those comments in that thread. There was no flaming. All comments had a true point about this video and i'm glad about the honesty of the editors who wrote them. Hope we can have sth like that again next year. Also glad you like it. Thanks for comment! I really really love "The Friend Request". When does it get released?
