Whoops, that was supposed to be turned off, cause I never got a chance to update it. Apparently an old copy overwrote the version that had that section disabled, so it's showing for anyone that had a pro video LAST year (and with last year's dates). Fixed now.

Just to re-iterate, the nominations will close down sometime Wednesday night (August 25th) or Thursday morning Eastern time. Basically whenever Jingoro gets a chance to look it all over. We'll turn it around as fast as possible and get it setup to accept final votes shortly thereafter, probably by Thursday evening. You'll have roughly two weeks following that, through September 8th. You can change your nomination/votes at any point till that phase closes.

Actually, wait. Does that mean there won't be a round of voting to decide finalists in each category? Just nominations and final votes?

Pretty sure that's how it's been since I've been involved and managing the website, ie a 2 tired vote. Placing your nominations serves the dual role of saying "I want this category in the final voting process" and "here's the vids I want there." Finalizing the categories as a separate phase would either draw things out too long or shorten up the other phases to accommodate our deadlines.

As for uploading, I'll close out the uploads late Sunday night as before, but don't push your luck. I'd much rather the majority of the entries be done and uploaded for me to have in hand Sunday morning. We've really only got the two weekends immediately following the deadline to get everything watched and judged and it's much more reassuring to go into the next Saturday with no concerns but to leave with a winner's list rather than watch yet another round of vids. There's some stupid con with a shotgun spread of topics on that third weekend that all our staff seem to want to go to every year...

I get off of work at 7:30pm, so I'll upload it no later than 8:15pm

Since it's nominations I'd assume that an 8way tie would just result in 8 amvs in that category
