I use Shake mainly for motion tracking at this point (and for a few other effects). I can never seem to get them to look right in my antiquated version of AE. For instance, all the cool looking tracks in Lost in an Anime Dream were done in Shake.

That's what I kept hearing yeah.Brad wrote:Shake is just not worth learning now. It's being phased out in production houses (who weren't already using Flame) for Nuke and Fusion. It's good for what it does still, but there's just such better solutions out there for node-based compositing.
CS4 and CS5 include Mocha out of the box. But The Foundry recently "ported" the tracking portion of Nuke into AE.JudgeHolden wrote:I use Shake mainly for motion tracking at this point (and for a few other effects). The first initial proto-AMVs I worked on were in Ulead MediaStudio in the late nineties. I ditched it for Premiere 6.0 in 2000/2001, but it taught me the basic concepts involved in non-linear editing.Zero Link wrote:I guess I'm the only one that uses Ulead. =\
