I think that's more because the entries are supposed to be blind and it's hard to do that when someone can easily look the entry up on the org.
Gimme a minute, I'll make a cool one....

I disagree, I've never entered this contest feeling like I should have to watch every video, that's just me. Actually, in fact I didn't even watch any of the videos last year. Not because I didn't want to but because I just didn't have the time. On the other hand, I've always entered a never before released video, cause that's how I believe it should be (granted, I did release a video before jugding was over, only because I thought it had no chance). But you don't see me bitching at Godix cause he entered a video he released recently? It's not common courtesy, it's unreasonable expectations.

You could say the same thing about what we are discussing now: because you signed a waver saying you're over 18 years old, you have to watch the 18+ videos.

asking someone to do something isn't requiring them to do it.

It doesn't bother me as long as you DEFINITELY do not vote in that category. As Kholaras said, there are enough people that don't nominate or vote, so I'm happy with people even just voting in categories that they had watched and skipping the others. (which is better than nominating or voting for videos you didn't watch....or not nominating or voting at all -_-)

Ultimately, I don't think this discussion will really lead to a solution. Many of us do watch all of the videos and find it important to do so, but not everyone operates that way, and again, as Kholaras said, there's not really any way to enforce it. So we can go around in circles, or we can get back to actually talking about the videos (That is, for those of us who've watched them. :x). Poor Sanya's reviews already got a bit swallowed up.

Guys, lets not derail a subject that is actually worth discussing by turning it into a flame war.

Unless Kolaras comes out here and says, "You HAVE to watch every video" then I'm trying to argue that its an unreasonable expectation you guys are putting on those who enter the contest. When I signed that waver last year I was fully expected to be able to sit down and watch the videos but it never happened (i also didn't judge IIRC).
