Skin...Or not?

Skin...Or not?
I don't know if it's just my OS, but when testing some skins, such as pics from my files, or Guns & Gundams, the skin just appears mostly blank. There are no tables where the navigation is. Linked text is blue, non link is black. Everything is plain with just bold stuff. I assume, with the name 'pics from my files' there is support to be some kind of pictures to fill this plain, empty void I am facing. Someone quick! Or I might revert back to the norm.
