. I'm not sure what took sooo long for everyone to notice. There's a new
video IMAX format in town. Its called 4K and it looks impressive. 1080P
was the standard for Blu-Ray and HD. Now with 25 foot screens being
released to the public for Home Theatre, I believe its about time for a
new Codec to be designed.
. The 4K name is actually 4096 x 2304 pixels in size. This is much too
large for LapTops and most Video Cards to handle. Camera's have had
this size available to them for at least the past two years. With Home
Theatre IMAX being a thing of the past, I only have one question remaining:
Q: what codec should we use when editing RAW 4K AMV's ??
Q: will MP4 be o.k. with 4096 x 2304 @ 24.0 fps without overloading our laptops?
