-download catalogue- button?
just a thought, some way to be able to download the entire catalogue of an editor (in case you're retarded and needed it spelled out) without going to each vid...going to local (most likely) then all the "proceeds" and what not
maybe this could be a donator option? If it were for free users then we'd bypass a lot of the pledge drive notices (idk if that matters to you) but yeah. i'm not a donator or anything but i'm planning on being one soon (hopefully)

I like this idea! Or perhaps just letting us have checkboxes in the editor's profile and having a "download selected" or a download "all" feature.
But you could technically just queue all an editor's videos and do them all at once.

Re: -download catalogue- button?
How about having the queue button directly in the editor's profile too ─ like, for every video the various DL types listed queue when clicked ─ and then just using the queue? Sounds like a better solution.

Re: -download catalogue- button?
Donating members should see an add-to-queue button at the upper right of the list of videos on a user's profile page. Right now, at least, only LOCAL videos are added, since some users have over half a dozen direct or indirect choices, depending on server, codec, size, and framerate. Suggestions?
Already downloaded videos can be removed with the regular queue tools.
Also of note, the function ignores the "top videos" display setting.

Re: -download catalogue- button?
the only way i can see having indirect and direct links added to the queue would be to generate an ID for each link and allow the creators to decide which link would be allowed to be used in a queue by a downloader. If the creator does not specify which link should be DLed, then the system should default it to the first link or a high quality link.
If you want to make this go further, you can have other options available that narrow down which link gets downloaded. We can call these availability options:
Creator's Pick (links specified by creator get DLed)
SD
720p
1080p
Xvid
h264
For the resolution and codec options, it would depend on what information the creator entered for that link. The issue with this is that you have to specify what happens if that option is not available in a video. So if a 1280x720 video is not available in the links, you need to route it to download something else. So if 720p is not available, then DL SD. If Xvid is not available, DL h264 link.
Another issue with direct and indirect links is that that org is not in control over the hosting of those links. So if someone has all these videos queued, it could be weird to not see them downloaded. If possible, the system should check to see if the page is 404'd. If 404'd, then DL local. If local is unavailable, then display message saying that the video is not available to DL.
Also with resolutions, it should should just be a general range or something for that option.

Re: -download catalogue- button?
Resolution and codec can't really be guessed from just the container/bitrate/filesize/duration, even if all those were to be listed...
The automatically queue everything button can only work for local, really... for instance, what about non-pg13 AMVs? Those are hosted on indirect, but aside from a warning in the page there isn't anything else to denote those entries. What if an underaged user were to queue indirects and got a 18+ video just like that because the warnings were skipped? Think about it, right now people say in the description something like "THIS VIDEO HAS MATURE CONTENT AND SHALL BE VIEWED ONLY BY PEOPLE OF 18 YEARS OR OLDER!" or something to that effect, then put the indirect link with another extra warning in the link description (maybe), and the link in most cases brings to the editor's page on nate's hosting. Automatically having indirects queued would remove any sort of warning at this point for those video, so it's no option. Now direct, that's something more feasible already. Since 18+ vids can't theoretically be linked directly, direct links are supposedly fine (and in the case they aren't and there really is a 18+ vid on direct, it's not the site's fault, but the editor's for not following the rules properly).

- Changed icon to show that local videos are queued.
- Button now takes display setting of top videos into account.

Re: -download catalogue- button?
Can the top/all feature be taken into account when searching? As in, making the result show only vids listed as top, and switch with all, since I assume that, if a user wants to hide a video, there might be a reason, and it would make sense to hide it in search too, or at least make it known that the video is not in the user's "top."

I actually really like this Idea, because I often link people to my profile, but I have quite a few videos that are not really enjoyable by the average viewer.
I think there are several ways to implament this.
Have the creators favourite Highlited, some way in the list of videos.
Have an extra section at the top of the creator's profile for the creator's top five.
Have an option to have the videos arranged by creators favourites.
(personally I like the second option of having a seperate table at the top of all the videos)
