Rule question
Are videos that have profanity in their lyrics disqualified from any eligability for a contest? We'll use VMA's just as a quick example and say a song that has a few f-bombs in them. Would the video be disqualified because of the song?

Re: Rule question
Depends on the contest. Most PG-13 contests generally don't allow them, but could make them pass depending on the amount and overall lyrics. Other contests are fine with it. And then there are the R-18 contests which have showing hentai as their point, so I doubt a f-bombs would be a concern in that case.
To wrap it up, the best thing you can do is actually ask in the contest(s) thread(s) itself(themselves) and see the response.

Re: Rule question
also (if applicable) protip: If the forum software asks for a topic line then you hit "new thread" instead of "reply."
If that wasn't what happened; Advice: if a contest specifies PG13 content, the PG13 guidelines state that a single use of the word "Fuck" if used as an expletive (i.e. not to describe the sexual act) is allowed. Make sure to verify this with the contest coordinator.
Bonus: Politely ask him or her to not use specific defined MPAA standards if they object to that rule.
